does hw2 semi-confirm odst 2?

well guys, halo wars has been destined for a sequel if not just for the achievement. And I never thought it was going to happen, I just thought halo was returning to its roots and testing how it would have worked out (look it up guys, halo CE was gonna be an RTS) and not much more despite how epic it was. Similar to ODST, I thought they were testing open world for destiny which may have been slightly true but it was still an amazing game. Now that 343 has given the orders (I realise they aren’t developing it, but they call the hits) to make this gaming dream come true, do you think they will fulfill other gaming dreams like an odst II or a game based on the insurrection or space combat. Just thinking.

the odst’s were disbanded after the war and were integrated in to the spartan 4 program. also there are spartan 4’s doing the same missions the odst’s would do still droping feet first in to hell

They could try to make a second one but that may be damn near impossible if you wanted to continue from where Alpha Nine left off and still keep it in the eyes of an ODST.

no though hwars2 was on my wishlist along with odst2 and mp elites returning as well one out of 3 isnt that bad.

odst got derailed with new blood but whatever maybe it can come back with romeo taking the lead…nah dont think i could stand him complaining

Or make a game based on the combat deployments leading up to…

…the rookie’s death and the remainder of Alpha Nine’s integration to the Spartan IV project.IE: The events of Halo 3 in the eyes of Alpha Nine and post-war operations.

False… there are still ODSTs…

Uh…no they weren’t.

I hope not. ODST wasn’t too great lets face it.

I think he is refering alpha 9.

I’d rather want they make a pre-covenant war insurrection era game than another ODST game

ODST felt more like an expansion than a fully fledged Halo title. I don’t think it really needs a sequel. Halo 3: ODST 2 seems a bit ridiculous.

It was ment to be a pure expansion. I remember on b.net how it was going to only be $20 to $30 max.

Then bungie out of the blue went. “Hey guys. It’s going to be $60. But by golly. It’ll have every single map pack that we know you all bought. We are doing this for Microsoft isn’t accepting an expansion as one of the two games we owe them. So we’re going to rip our fan base off so we can be free faster. But first we have to finish Halo: Reach and totally give you the battle you didn’t want to play. We know you all wanted to play as Red Team as they defended Reach. But we’ll butcher our own established lore to give you a story with confusing plot holes and mechanics that will upset our fanbase even more. Don’t worry, it’ll be worth it. For soon we will release Destiny and you’ll all forgive us”

Wrong Bungie. Pepperidge Farm remembers. And I sure remember. Destiny was a flop with less content then Halo 4’ Spartan Ops. You should be ashamed. I will not forgive.

Well, they kinda closed the threads for Alpha-Nine in New Bloods and Halo 5: Guardians. So, unless it follows a different ODST squad, I would not count on a sequel.

Halo Wars 2 was much more likely than ODST 2. Halo Wars is a different type of game and genre that can be built alongside the “main” game (this is further proven by the fact that another company will do the main development), but another ODST game would be near the size of a main installment and would most likely be made by 343 themselves. I am excited to see a new game in the Halo Wars series, and I could see another ODST game being fun, but I highly doubt another ODST game is or will ever be in the works. However, I wouldn’t deny the possibility of another take on the FPS series through the eyes of a non-Spartan. Halo 5 already is mixing it up by adding a whole new team.

It’d be great to see an ODST sequel, there are many people who loved that game.

Eh. Not dying for one like i was for Halo Wars 2.

No, they weren’t. Some of the best became Spartans. Not nearly all.

I think ODST is better as a one off Halo game. Another one would just make it less special.

It’d be awesome if there was a sequel, but its really unlikely  Theres not much they could do with it, unless they did an earlier timeline and showed the ODSTs battling the insurrectionists or something

I think an insurrectionist game would be epic, we could be a squad of marines using a similar AI to halo 5’s, except it will be split screen, so my ultra hardcore playling bf4 no UI all night with bolt action snipers with iron sights can play.

he is like that. When I play bf, I’m 870MCS with slug, extended mag and iron sights. Deal with it.
