Does HALOWARS2 lead to HALO Infinite?

I love HW2 the most in HALO games these days
Will Infinite lead to HW2?
I care about it
What is Anders’ fate?
Are Atriox and Chief Hostile? Will they fight together?
Will Decimus become a cyborg and come back? LOL
Not limited to HW2
How much will HALO’s favorite characters from the past play an active role?
If you make a mistake in 343, you can easily kill the character.
worry. But I’m looking forward to it

Read the book shadows of reach.

I live in Japan so I don’t know all of the novels,
I know Atriox is alive and not in direct command of the army.
HALO is hard to follow and it is too many not told in the game

Halo wars 2 sets up the banished as the new enemy, but shadows of reach leads up to the banished leaving the ark and meeting chief

Essentially this ^^

Whilst Halo Wars 2 isn’t likely to directly tie in Halo Infinite it is important for introducing The Banished & setting up their position leading into Infinite - Atriox being stranded & the power gap that Escharum seemingly takes up in the mean time.

The Shadows of Reach book takes place after the events of Halo 5. Whilst most of the book isn’t necessarily tied to Halo Infinite there are some very important things mentioned that are seeming to play a role or at least are present in Halo Infinite’s story.

You could watch a video recap of the book online too, would save you some time and would give a more clear explanation to how it ties in etc.

the book tells you many things about what happened

Here’s a list of Novels, but as others have said “Shadows of Reach” is the most relevant one, though I have heard “Point of Light” might set up some relevant information as well. It can be hard to keep track of though yeah, and I got no idea what it’s like over in Japan - if like, any of the books are localized for you? I’d love to try reading one of them in Japanese some day if they are.

Here’s a couple vidoes that discuss the events of Shadows of Reach, if you’d prefer watching a video over reading it:

  • Halo: Shadows of Reach – Full Summary/Analysis - Every NEW Halo Infinite Detail in Shadows of ReachAnyway, your last statement reinforces my idea that Halo needs an in-game glossary or something, to recap critical events or characters or concepts. The longer a series runs, the more people will be confused if suddenly something that happened a long time ago comes up and the game expects you to remember everything about it. For some of us that’s no big deal, but there’s a big reason why Kingdom Hearts has been including Glossaries and Recaps - particularly in KH3 - for a while now. Halo might as well start doing that too, especially if they want to tie in stuff from the books moving forward instead of keeping them standalone.
