I am not talking about bugs. What I am wondering is if the game has plenty of units, leaders, maps, blitz cards and other content.
I am on the fence about buying this game but if it feels like the game is not finished and most of the content is
going to come out gradually then I am not interested.
I tried the demo and loved the gameplay and blitz mode, so just wondering if there is plenty of variety in the full game.

I do feel like theres a lack of maps and maybe only 4 game types not including campaign… HOWEVER. I have been quiet content. Im loving the balance, the battles. The Speed of the game from beta to now has significantly improved to a speed I can tolerate(maybe a tad slow but maybe for good reason.)
Im happy. Im loving this game, I miss Halo 5 but I cant put HW2 down. 
Unit upgrades are sparse, and the few maps we have right now all feel similar, and don’t really have any distinctive features.
Unit variety between the current leaders is also a bit lacking.
Also, there a many, many issues with bugs, stability, and balance.
With the exception of maybe more multiplayer maps needed, more Blitz maps needed, and a fix to the issues some folks are experiencing I’d say yes, it does feel finished.
The campaign is a solid length, story is great, gameplay is polished, Multiplayer is fun no matter what game mode, and Blitz is a great game type if you’re looking for a quick match.
I’m personally loving it.
For me the game feels finished for the most part. Once the team fixes the connectivity issues I feel like the game well be in a very good state. The multiplayer is generally really fun with an overall good balance and pacing. There could be more diverse maps (although they are releasing maps later for free) but I feel like the ones that are out right now are well made for the most part. The leaders are not varied the way they were in the first game where each leader would have some significant unique units or upgrades but I feel like each leader does feel different because of the number of different powers, passives, and each leader’s unique hero unit. The several multiplayer modes in addition to blitz makes it feel like it has a good amount of variety whether you want to play a 15 minute game or a 50 minute one. Overall i’d strongly recommend it once they fix the issues(which should be very soon based on what they said in the patch notes post).
I am not sure why the one guy said wait. There is plenty of content, plenty of leaders, units, as well as feeling complete. There is plenty to do in Halo Wars 2. I would snatch it up. It is addictive
So with this game there’s a lot of game modes compared to halo wars 1. There’s normal deathmatch a and now blitz, but also strongholds, domination, versus AI and firefight(in blitz mode) I think this game is VERY worth. Now they delayed it, put out 2 Betas and there’s still problems but this game is VERY fun! Updates will be coming soon to fix bugs so once that isn’t a problem this game is flawless!
Now with the DLC too, that makes this game stand out from others. This is the first game I’ve had to put out more campaign mission! That’s literally adding more to the game(not just maps and game modes that you get over after a bit) but adding more story to the game! It’s essentially like they’re making a new campaign but instead of waiting and selling it as a new game you get it all for free with season pass and can get almost double the game you paid for! They have characters coming out, more missions and with that I’m sure (hoping) more maps. But needless to say this is a very worth game to get, it’s a game that keeps on giving! And with other games they put out DLC once a year…343 Is putting out DLC once every 3rd weeks month for this game! So hopefully 9 DLCs this year!
If ur buying it on pc def wait, the game crashes and desync’s after almost every game. Also team games r unplayable on pc, with lagg spikes that drop ur frames to about 1fps. the balance at high lvl of play is terrible only 1 viable leader when playing at high ranks, on the other side there r tons of casual plebs to smash at the lower levels. no replay or obs mode, no leader board besides a community made one. so its deff lacking alot of content. If you’re a die hard fan and wanna throw money at 343 then go ahead. If you want a well polished; properly balanced, and bug free experience, than this is not the game for you.

I’m guessing your saying wait for the but fixes but also mainly so when you do buy it, there’s more DLC already out and ready to purchase. This could be said with any game. Buy call of duty a year after the fact so I can get the 2 dlc put out. I personally like getting a game, Seeing how it is, then if I enjoy it; the DLC is that much better than! Where with anything you can wait till it’s fully done but it’s about if your trying to game When this game is booming up or when it calms and is a steady and is nothing new
We need a new Banished leader fast. They’re about to release the 5th UNSC leader. I also feel the UNSC need more new units. I like how we have some new and some old but all I can think of for new right now is Kodiak and Jackrabbit and Condor, while the banished have Shroud, blister back, reavers, and more.
