I personally don’t think so since they disrupt the flow of a match and are not good in competitive play due to their hitboxes. It could only work in a separate mode like invasion designed for elites

It wouldn’t bother me if they were in the game.
No they aren’t necessary…but the community really wants them.
Here’s another thing to point out. As said above the community really wants them but here’s the thing…I always here people say they want the elites but when I play halo 2, halo 2 anniversary, and halo 3, it is a very very rare occasion I ever see anyone use the elites though.
So I think 343i is doing it right. If no one uses them, don’t bother wasting time making them playable. Either way it’s fine by me.

Yes… But not two that have gold and have played multiple different games for varying amounts of times… I’m not that dedicated
Hmmmm these results are intruiging… People don’t want to play as Elites or me…
Elites aren’t necessary but i wouldn’t mind if 343 put them in the game.
Of course it doesn’t “need” playable Elites. They provide no necessary game function to Halo 5.
Some people may “want” them because they used them in a previous game but given the competitive nature of Halo 5, it makes sense that a second race with a different model, and correspondingly a different hitbox, isn’t going to be included.
From my understanding, MLG tournaments literally banned players from using the Elite model during matches because of the inherent inequality between the two hit boxes.
Need? No. But I’d like it, Reach style but balanced this time.
