Does Halo need ADS and KILLSTREAKS?

What about killstreaks? 10 kills strafe run with banshees
25 kill activate halo ring for a tactical nuke!!

I think sprint is a great mechanic but with the way the guns in Halo work ADS is not needed.

Apart from the fact ADS on the majority of guns on Halo would be impossible, aiming down a fuel rod gun with its huge back end would be well… uncomfortable more to the point there are no sights on the gun, bar a scope on some. I’m going to say no.

Halo is not one of those ‘other’ FPS games. It’s Halo.

With the movement speed and killtimes in halo it would not be practical. I made a similar thread before reach (like my first post) and ever since then I’ve learned a lot from the community about game mechanics. Trust us. ADS is not needed or beneficial to halo

There was design purpose for this that Frankie covered a while ago. I can’t find the link, but Halo doesn’t have it because you have more chances. If I ADS (as this has been apparently coined now) in say a CoD match, it usually means I’m taking him out. Gears of War is the same situation. When you aim down your sights, it means you are going to kill them right then and there. With Halo, the tide of the battle can literally change. Halo’s balance is a tug of war. You only lose if you choose the wrong weapon, or a sniper across the map is being a yoink.

Kill times are just a tad too long for ADS. That would also factor in hip-fire, which doesn’t really fit into Halo.

It needs killstreaks too, like planes that fly over and drop bombs and a way to scan the motion tracker so it always shows people even when they’re not moving. What is this shield crap aswell? Get those the hell out of the game.

Our sights are smart linked to our helmets, so ADS is completely unnecessary.

No. Gameplay wise and canon wise, we don’t need ADS.

The scoping system is already good. And ADS would make absolutely no sense canonically since the scopes and reticles of each weapon are hard-linked directly to our HUD, producing a perfectly accurate aiming reticle in and out of scope.
