Since Halo Infinite multi-player is F2P and Gold is no longer required for F2P games will the campaign require Gold to play co-op on Xbox? Also, was it ever clarified if there would be Xbox-PC cross-play on campaign?
I would imagine you’d need gold for campaign. And yes cross-play has been confirmed.

The campaign aint Free to Play. Id be shocked if it didnt require Gold
I think it’s only multiplayer that’s free. However, you may still need gold to even play that. I don’t think anyone outside or 343 and Microsoft knows…

I am aware that you pay for the campaign. However, is the campaign considered DLC to Halo Infinite’s F2P multiplayer or is it considered a different game entirely, maybe even with a different launcher.

I think it will be kinda like COD MW 2019 where you get a screen to pick between warzone campaign and multiplayer

From the trailers we saw yesterday, it looks like it will be like GTA V and GTA Online. MP will be its own thing but still accessible from the menu.
It’d be a smart idea to not require Gold to play co-op on the campaign, they are still getting the sale for the campaign and you could potentially sell more if you don’t require Gold for that. I have game pass ultimate so my gold is already tied into that, and even if the dropped Gold, I honestly don’t see the price lowering for ultimate, which is already a phenomenal price (IMHO) for what you get from it. But I’d be okay with Gold going away while keeping the same price for standard game pass itself.
If the co-op is local i think not.
Not only that, I’m not sure that they’ve clarified the specifics of split-screen player capacity in every mode and whether we’ll be able to play the game offline.

You don’t need Gold for the multiplayer since it’s released separately as a F2P download.
