Does Halo 5 make you want the Xbox One?

It does for me. I liked most of the features the Xbox One had to begin with, and I think those privacy policies people are concerned about are blown way out of proportion and won’t be a big deal in the end. $500 is a bit pricey but makes sense as a launch price. Titanfall looks interesting also so I’m very excited. I’ll probably get the console when they have the Halo 5 LE Bundle.

It made me want it even more that I did. I know some people don’t like the Xbox one, but I’m gonna get lot’s of use out of it. And If you don’t want your TV connected, then just don’t connect it! Or just don’t use the feature.

The trailer was interesting but I’ve promised myself to not get hyped over insignificant things.

The Xbox One has some pretty significant downsides in comparison. If Halo 5 turns out to be good and the Xbox One changes for the better, we’ll see.

Kinda, but I’m not sure it’s worth it just for Halo. There isn’t anything else that’s a good enough reason for me to buy it.

Xbox One makes me want Xbox One.

Halo 5, hopefully; will get the taste of Reach and H4 out of my mouth.

Yes Halo 5 makes me want to get the X1, but there is a lot of crap that you have to deal with when it comes to the X1 and at $500 it makes it even worse. Before the H5 announcement I was planing on getting a PS4 first, I still am, and was hoping H5 would come out in 2015 by which time I would have saved some more money and hopefully there might have been a price cut of some sort. As I said there is a lot of crap with the X1 plus the $500 price point so I’m not keen on becoming an early adopter of the X1. But with H5 coming out in 2014 instead of 15 it is making me ever so slightly reconsider because I, like many of you, love my Halo.

I was already getting one regardless, you see the other XboxO games shown at E3? Some quality stuff there. But Halo 5 just reinforces my decision to get the XboxO.

Minecraft, Halo 5, Killer Instinct, and maybe one of those newly sparked games like Titanfall. They certainly look interesting.

I’m gonna have to wait till we actually see the game in action to decide that, it’s definitely got me hyped though.

i will be getting an xbox one when halo 5 is released. titanfall is almost enough to get me to jump on earlier, but i honestly dont have enough time to really get sucked into another franchise.

the always on and DRM has a lot of people hating xbox one. if it wasnt for that everyone would have to admit based on what we know the xbox one is blowing ps4 out of the water, granted ps4 still has their e3 demo. however they already went all out games with their first presser, so im curious to what they plan on showing this presser.

but back to the always on and DRM issue. these really dont bother me. my internet is rarely down for more then 24 hours, in fact it never has been in my current residence of 4 years. the DRM i am actually excited about. i dont bother with used games, they are pointless. 90% of the time amazon sells a new game for the same price or cheaper then a used game at gamestop. so nixing used games, which they technically arent, and allowing games to be played without a disc is great for me. my xbox and receiver are kept in another room so getting up to switch games sucks.

i dont know what the privacy issue is. you can turn off the kinect sensor.

I bought another 360 (Elite died) & 2 Live accounts so I could play Halo 4. I’m less than impress with Live & Halo 4 so I’ll have to see a major price drop before I even consider getting the new XBox.

It’s ONE(icwatudid) of the reasons I want one yes. Seeing Halo just uped my anticipation.

$560 for one game? -Yoink- no. Also, the fact that the Xone is a piece of -Yoink- is a fairly solid reason I won’t be purchasing the new Xbox. Now… if they improve it (and that isn’t likely to happen), I might think about buying one.

Not at all. I just want Halo 5…

lolno.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 and Battlefield 4 make me want the Xbox One.

Lol I see you’ve already tried the console out for yourself. Oh wait… -.-

There’s absolutely no information on it. Why would a game that is most likely going to follow in the footsteps of Halo 4 tempt me to buy an overpriced TV box?

Honestly, it does. Hopefully the price drops for the Xbox One before Halo 5.

Actually, not being able to borrow or rent games without a fee (which as I understand it is the full game price) is a pretty big deal. Nevermind the death of the used games market. XBO isn’t even reverse compatible. How anti-consumer can you get?

I haven’t seen enough content to justify supporting what I consider to be the bastardization of the gaming industry. I’m afraid Halo may just end at Halo 4 for me, which is a real shame.

I’ll just leave this here…

And this…
Enjoy playing your games offline. Oh wait…
