Some guys are saying yes, others say no. Which one is it?
Also if there is fall damage, is it like Reach?
Thank you for your reply.

Nope, no fall damage in H4. Wouldn’t make much sense really.
Fall damage is in Halo 4.

Actually, it is POSSIBLE to implement it in Customs, but yes, it’s out of MM as far as i know.
you can choose if you want fall damage in custom games

Why would it matter if it is in Forge or not?
They aren’t going to have it in Forge and just leave it out of everything else.

That was from the RTX build…
If you look at the Meltdown walkthrough video, skip to the parts where Kynan Pearson jumps off a ledge and lands on the ground thats a good 5-10 meters down. Normally, you would lose health in Reach for that kind of jump, but he didn’t.
Look at recent gameplays and look at the IGN map walkthroughs. There is no fall damage in the final build of Halo 4.
Custom games does allow the amount of fall damage to be changed.

Under that context, health from Halo CE behaves exactly like Halo: Reach.
It isn’t.
In Halo 4, we are Spartan IVs, a brand new breed of Spartans, which are much better than the Spartan IIIs we played as in Reach, canon wise, we should be able to withstand fall damage a lot better then Spartan IIIs did.
There is fall damage, but you need to fall from a fairly high height.

100 % TRUE :

It matters because we don’t have any confirmation of fall damage being in MM, actually, quite the opposite (E3 interviews, MP gameplay so far).
I believe it’s going to be in Forge (as an option) and , also as an option, in Custom games (and maybe SO?)but OUT of Matchmaking.
Fall damage is in Halo 4, however Spartan IV’s withstand it much more than the Spartan III’s in Reach.
All I know is, without fall damage there’s no consequence for idiots who jetpack too high. My guess is it will be in MM.

The jetpack is significantly different in Halo 4. It adds for extra height. There is no hovering and if there is fall damage in Halo 4, it requires too large a height for any player to take notice.
If it is in, it will only matter to those jumping out of banshees at high altitudes.
