Have you ever felt this or thought this? I have. The weapons being shot sounds like Halo 2’s. One being the BR. The gameplay looks pretty similar to Halo 2 so far. So does Halo 4 seem like Halo 2 in a good way?
More like Halo 3 with the recoil. The pros say it plays like Halo 3 with better hit registration.
in some ways yes like the br, i know this because i went to e3, but still better
Impressions from both pros and media outlets suggest that it does play like Halo and IS Halo despite things like Tactical and Support Packages w/Personal Ordnance drops from Infinity Slayer.
From what i saw, it is still Halo but…new. Not just in a “new game” sense but from the changes they introduced, like a booster shot in the arm.
Of course, the best way to know this is to spend time with the game on a personal level. Unless you are intending RTX and other events that have Halo 4 game play sessions, then some of us are going to have to wait until November. For me, there are many concerns but nothing bad enough to make me write off Halo 4.
Overall though, even the MLG Pros walked away with positive impressions and they are part of the crowd that is usually overly critical of Halo games.
They’ll never get it back to the feel of the masterpiece which was Halo 2, everything about that game…perfect. 343 are simply incapable of such a thing.

I hope Halo 4 is at London’s MCM expo in October. The last one I went to had booths for Aliens: CM and Lollipop Chainsaw… not juggernauts of Halo 4’s calibre, mind.
No, sprint and AAs fundamentally change the game.
It’s impossible to have that tight, arena styled H2 gameplay with them. Especially sprint.

Hmm besides E3 and Comic Con, i don’t think there will be any big name events with Halo 4 here in California either.
Here’s hoping you guys get something Halo related this year :P.
I would personally compare Halo 4 to Halo 3 more so than Halo 2, but I played a lot more H3 than H2. While this game does look like a halo game, does it play like a halo game? It seems as though both the developers claim it has as well as the MLG players. I’ve also seen a few forum goers claim they played it and it felt like Halo.
To me, the key aspects of any Halo game are its movement speed, jump height and weapon strafe. It sure seems as thought that these are all making a return to Halo 4 on top of new things such as the ordinance drops. I won’t dismiss those until I actually play the game and see for myself if I like them or not but overall H4 looks like H3 to me which I regard as the best Halo game made.
I feel were about to get a great come come November 6th

And hitscan weapons, and better strafe speed, don’t forget those.
Well it has a hint of classic Halo regarding hitscan and the BR as well as other things. But it has a lot of new features which understandably not everyone will like. Which is why they are including a classic playlist.

my god, you are the worst human being on the planet, every single post is a complaint post with not constructive criticism, you are a right -yoink- I really hope you hate halo 4 so i never see you anywhere near the halo universe again…

BXR, OP PP and Underpowered weapons beg to differ.
No game is and will ever be perfect.

Neighbor and elamite did have a bit to say though. Most of their concerns however were based around the Infinity slayer and the non competitve styled maps. Of course they had a problem with promethean vision as well.
Other than that, they said they really enjoyed it and how it played. They said it felt really smooth and clean feeling, definiltey more akin to halo 3.

Firstly, halo 2 was fun but not perfect. Grenades need an overhall, there were way to many button combos (BXR and doubleshot anyone?) and the plasma pistol/magnum combo was stupid over powered. The melee and sword lunged like a son of a gun as well.
Other than that, certainly the best halo, but not perfect… far from perfect.
Since halo 3’s multiplayer was a rip off of halo 2 s, I guess you could say that. Personally, I hope it plays like a brand new game, just like halo 2 and even halo reach. I despised halo 3 multiplayer, it was so unoriginal and boring.
Looks more like a Halo 3/Reach hybrid to me.

Even (the great and mighty) Bioshock had one weapon that was ridiculously overpowered. Anyone who has played that game knows that you can get through the whole thing using nothing but a fully-upgraded shotgun.
I never really got to play halo 2 online.
