It looks like they have a 15 year old Japanese Anime fanatic designing it.
Until I’ve seen them in-game, I won’t say anything.
Until E3 comes I’m not judging anything.
I’m excited for the skins, but was really hoping there wouldn’t be armor customization. I felt without it, it could be like the good old days in Halo 2.

All my wat.
OT: To each his or her own. I’d recommend not creating threads when out of the question asked, only 2 answers can be given, and that it is inevitable that both answers will most indeededly be given.
from what has been seen so far… Yes. ugly as sin.
There are also two other threads about exactly this.
One of which was created by me lol

I could see why you’d think that from the concept sketches, but in-game, in 3d, with Halo 4’s lighting + texturing, I bet they’ll look awesome.
Out of all the armor sets I’ve seen, the Default is the only one that looks practical.
I like these armor sets a lot.

And that’s exactly what they’ll do. Use their “amazing new engine” to mask the poorly designed aesthetics.

This is -Yoinking!- offensive.

I have to agree. Putting a poorly designed object into a 3D engine doesn’t mean it makes it any better.
Yea maybe your right. If they put a larger color spectrum on there anything would look good. If you could shade it just right. Hope there’s a better emblem selection to choose from too.
from what ive seen so far i do think they look awful, looking at the recent pictures of the different armor and skins they remind me of futuristic power rangers but its not putting me of halo 4 i am still very much excited to play it.

exactly how I feel.
i love the look of the armor.

I don’t think that’s what he’s trying to say. I believe he trying to say it is something that looks ok in concept art form but will look really cool in-game.

I dunno about that. The Mark V helmet looked pretty cool on the box art of CEA, but looks completely derpy in-game.

…
And there are people who disagree with you.
Concept art isn’t really the best thing to judge rather or not the final in game version is cool or not.

I wouldn’t judge the first or second sets of concept art, but since 343 felt comfortable enough with these designs to show them to the public, then I kinda have to assume that they will not deviate too much from them.
