Wanna buy halo 2 PC this weekend but before i do can i play xbox live with it? can anyone confirm?

Xbox Live? No. That was what the console ran on. Games for Windows Live however, yes. That’s what Halo 2 vista runs on.
If you’re confused, GfWL is basically Xbox Live just the PC equivalent.
O i thought the point of GFWL is basically the same account(allowing linkage between console and pc. some games having ability to cross play) being just “LIVE” so do i need a XBL account and a GFWL account?

I think on initial startup you just need to reenter your regular email/password for your Gamertag and sign in on GFWL. It’s the same account in the end, you’re just using it on the PC as well.
