Does grav hammer have smart scope?

Has anyone seen if the Grav hammer has a smart scope function sort of like the sword? I didn’t see it being used in that new video released on polygon.

its not exactly smart scope, but im sure itll be like the sword if you use the zoom button you can get a little bit more range

Wouldn’t call it “smart scope”, but I bet the Grav Hammer will have an alternate fire mode just like every other weapon in Halo 5.

The idea of a scoped hammer amuses me to no end - 2 little eye holes you could peek through like binoculars :stuck_out_tongue:

Couldn’t help but laugh. xD

On topic: It probably does. I would like to know how it works if so, along with the Energy Sword’s version of it. Like, what is their explanation, lol? “If they focus really hard, physics change!”

I’m usually not a fan of common sense trumping gameplay at any level, but I just find it funny.

He scoped in with it for a split second in the video.

Well the sword has the zoom in feature so i would believe so that the grav hammer will have the same ability.

Its all in the visor, zooming and projecting a reticle. Its been like that since CE lore-wise.

Oh, I understand that. I just don’t understand how this improves accuracy (range) on the Sword or Hammer. Like, they have a physically shorter range just because? I’m not putting too much stock into it, but I’d like to know how this mechanic is realistically explained since they’re so fond of that. I actually don’t even know how they explain the Sword lunge in the first place, haha. A bit off-topic.

You get like a 1.25x zoom. There is smart scope but it’s too small for any real benefit

You know they could practically explain any melee lunge if they’d put in an animation where the thrusters go off everytime you lunge, but for some reason they don’t.

How would that even work?

Interesting question. All weapons in Halo 5 so far have a smart scope, but it wouldn’t make much sense because the gravity hammer has no lunge if I’m correct.
EDIT - It does have a zoom option for stabilization but it’s not clear yet wether or not it increases range.

It always felt like the sword had more of a “focus mode” than a smart scope, I assume the hammer will have the same. Bigger gravity field maybe?? Loll that would be insane. Can only imagine what the warzone variants would be able to dooo

This update can’t come fast enough.

Its connected the armor’s Smart Scope system. Same reason if you jump and aim you’ll hover for a couple seconds. MJLONIR is a cybornetic armor; its linked into its wearer’s mind. They think what they want and it’ll do it.
If they aim with the hammer and “fire” (or swing it), it’ll fire the thrusters to give it a little extra range.

Forget the Hammer.

I want to know if the ball has Smart Scope!

Retracting handle perhaps?

Omg that’s possible too lol. So weird!

I do like the little “fistycuffs” thing going on with the sword, so I hope the hammer has it too!
