I feel like it does sometimes, and if it does I hope that gets changed for the full release. Anybody know if this is the case or am I doing it wrong?
If you get shot during before reaching maximum speed, you will be kicked out of sprint.
It only takes like half a second to reach maximum speed though…
When you start sprinting there is a 1 second window that if you take damage you desprint.

Ah, that explains it! There’s times when I’m trying to get better positioning and I’m just stuttering along and I die. Good to know though. Hard to run from a good shot, which is bad for me.

If someone does not like sprint, they are not a whiney baby, it is their opinion and they do not deserve to play old games for the rest of their lives.
Yea it’s happened to me before. Even when at full speed. But there is a 1 second delay before you reach full speed when you start and that’s when you can get kicked out.
On topic though, it’s only happened to me once or twice, usually helps to thruster first before you start sprinting sometimes.
Itd be better if it always knocked you out regardless of velocity.
running to get a good position is ok.
Sprinting away because you are 2 shot is bad.
