Does forge still give credits?

I want to make sergeant only so I can get some leg armor, but I am nowhere close to it and for some reason I only get about 15 credits per campaign level. They appear to have patched the sword base thing, but I hear back in the day, forge also gave credits. Does that still work?

Keep in mind I’m not trying to cheat, nor do I advocate it. It is an old game that no one plays and I simply want one piece of cosmetic armor. I have exhausted myself trying to find ways to get credits.

But also. Uhhh. I don’t wanna be the guilty verdict. But if you play the second level on Legendary with some skulls on. Hug the wall to the right and run towards the weapon that locates missiles. Turn around and point it to the crowd and fire. Make sure a checkpoint happens before you fire it though. This’ll help you with commendations and credits.
