Does everyone think halo 5 multiplayer was decent?

Hello everyone just wondering what people think after 5 years of playing on the multiplayer and what could have been improved to suit your wants as a halo player. Personally I greatly enjoyed this halo as I do like the more advanced movement however I know that’s a very unpopular opinion about halo. What’s everyone’s thoughts ?

Halo 5 was probably my favorite Halo game since Halo 3 for a good while, but that sort of changed overtime, especially after that weapon tuning update in November 2017, and the numerous updates that followed that now cause the game to freeze after returning to the lobby.

It was definetly fun for a time, but I’m ready for Halo to return to the classic movement mechanics again. That Mythic Rumble playlist sealed the deal for me on that front.

In my opinion the multiplayer gets better every game. This one made multiplayer very fun but the grind for max rank is unbearable.

I wasn’t a fan of the last weapon tune, spartan charge, or how firefight was implemented; however, overall it was one of my favorite multiplayers in the series.

The gameplay is my favorite within the franchise; however, there are some subtle and somewhat not so subtle changes I’d like to see realized to make the game even better or to address some of the annoyances that I dislike.

Halo 5 easily has my favorite multiplayer in the entire series. I’ve been playing it nonstop since Day One and I love it: sprinting, thrusting, stabilizing, clambering, sliding, Spartan charging, Ground pounding, splinter grenades, etc. It’s fantastic. I only wish they’d return the Team Arena playlist to the original vision instead of the awful HCS settings or, at the very least, make Core Play permanent.

I enjoyed Halo 5 warzone. But mainly because of reqs.

The mobility of the spartan in halo 5 is great, the only thing that does not seem so good to me is the ranking system

I’d be interested in seeing the Quick Play and Core Play playlists become rotational to each other throughout seasonal periods on some kind of weekly basis.

Warzone is a lot of fun and the multiplayer is a great Arena and competitive experience. Halo 5’s advanced Forge editor also allowed for some impressive gametypes and user-created maps.

With that being said, I think Halo: Reach and Halo 4 were better with the more social offerings.

Yes I prefer Halo 5 multiplayer over the others Halo, Im playing right now MCC and the multyplayer is boring and slow for me, Im only playing that for the achievements

Hands down the best Competitive Multiplayer FPS experience I’ve played. There is so much I loved about this game it would take so much time to explain it all, mostly the gun play.

  • I also like how the spartan abilities can have so many versatile uses and how you could combine them to really spice up and add variety to duels and engagements, and it wasn’t repetitive like the older Halo games

  • How in every map there are ways to use ur abilities to learn jumps to get to vantage points and power ups or sneak up on people.

There’s a lot more but honestly this offered a completely new and unique experience that no other shooter can offer and will probably be the game I remember the most when I grow up and leave gaming behind.

it sucks that there will most likely never be a game like it again with how much backlash advanced movement got from the FPS community**.**

Best multiplayer since halo 2. Tight gameplay and the thrusts were a great addition.

I enjoyed Halo 5 MP the most out of the prior installments recently but I feel the community wasn’t as big and expansive as it used to be after the damage of prior installments and the Halo 5 Campaign.

It’s quite weird in that it was great but other factors weren’t as much.

funny you say that changed overtime with the weapon tuning update as that update I think was literally CALLED “Overtime” lmao. That’s about the point where it got kinda bad for me too.

The multiplayer is great
microtransactions and req packs weren’t my favorite tho

I was a hater at first in 2017. Now i been givin the game a chance and can say its my favorite multiplayer shooter. It been solid. Got my gripes on req pack purchases but been havin a good time. Halo 5 gets way too much hate.

I enjoy the classic Halo multiplayer to the new but I did enjoy arena. I can’t remember the name of the game type but it was similar to Search and Destroy from COD. Me and a couple friends played that a bit and enjoyed it. Picked it up after a few months and the game type was basically a mosh pit at that point and wasn’t worth matchmaking for. Warzone was ok, but it was either even teams or a sh!tshow.

I think Halo 5 had arguably the best MM in the series. Halo 3 & Halo 5 are my top. I like H4 BTB only, as well.

No. Least favorite multiplayer of the Halo franchise in my opinion.
