All the tears that are being shed on this forum over the magnum. Please inform me of any game in which you didn’t start on equal footing with your opponent. Everyone has the same starting guns in arena so why is this an issue. Really looking for some insight on this as I just don’t understand the logic.
No some people start with more OP magnums and assault rifles than others isn’t it obvious lol.

Analysis: Power is relative to other weapons.
Conclusion: No weapons are overpowered…

I really am trying to figure out the reasoning, though. Haven’t seen a solid answer in another post thus far.

Hypothesis: Skins improve weapons.
Procedure: Apply skin to weapon.
Outcome: Weapon is more aesthetically pleasing. Visual upgrade has occurred.
Conclusion: Skins improve weapons.
I just don’t think people are used to a true utility starting weapons set. or at least they seem that way in arena with its smaller areas. I think we’ll be hearing even more calls for BR starts when BTB hits though.

Oh I know, just thought I’d include extra information anyway. Always useful.
Honestly most maps are small enough that the people who are whining (AR users) shouldn’t have an issue running up on people with magnums. There’s enough mobility in this game to close the gap on people. I do fairly well with a magnum and yet still die quite often to SMG’s and AR’s.
Even for those who want a BR start, the magnum is one shot away for the most part. Essentially the best of both worlds.

In Slayer I don’t mind the magnum as a secondary start, although, at the first chance I get its swapped for a BR. Same with Warzone once I hit level 3 req’s. Still a great gun and I could go either way with BR or magnum start as either one is fine with me.

I want the pistol to be a two headshot kill with a better scope with a zoom similar to the orginal Halo CE pistol. I think it’s underpowered.
It’s because it’s the best weapon in arena. Why even have dmr’s? They’re only good in warzone. The magnum has the damage of a dmr, but with a faster fire rate. Just because everyone has it on start, doesn’t mean it isn’t op. Not saying that it is, but still, my point stands.
