Does Desync Seem Worse Now then Before?

Desync seems to be far worse now then it did before yesterday’s update. I’m not sure what’s going other then the fact that we’re now connecting to way more people with poor connecting due to the recent “ban” on geo-filtering. But the game seems to be in an even more unplayable state then it’s been so far. Even at low ping the issue still persists and is much more noticeable

100% my observation well. The game feels like auto aim is completely turned of. My reticle goes all over the place…

I dropped from high D6 to almost D4. And don’t tell me it’s all my fault…

The game is terrible to play right now… no matter if I have a constant 30 in the top right hand corner.

It’s now a struggle to go even in most matches now. The game is just awful.

Yes, every match since the update has had me bouncing around with lag, thrown into walls like a DBZ fight. Yet it’s always saying I’m below 70PING, before I’d occasionally get up around 200 randomly but even then the de-sync wasn’t this bad.

i dont notice the desync

I think now the higher ping you have the better. The reason being is even though you have desync the desync your opponent has against you is even worse. Giving you the advantage. At least that’s how it feels in the games current state.

I’m on a Series X in the USA, and my experience has been better.

I am noticing that I’m getting shot behind walls more on games where I have 30 ping rather than 60 ping though which I’m not digging. But at the same time, I’m feeling like my shots are registering better on opponents than they were previously. It’s kinda odd, but makes sense in the context of the game favoring the shooter.

Maybe more and more people are dropping the game and not playing and its becoming harder to get into quality matches? I could be totally wrong, here.

Interesting, I live in Washington state roughly 2.5 hours from one of Halo’s data centers and I have fiber optic internet. My experience is notably worse. I play on PC mostly though. Haven’t noticed a difference on my XSX either.

I had rubber banding in almost every match last night. And not just a little. My spartan was literally jiggling around at times, dropping from a jump height from a ledge like I weighed 80 tons, going around corners multiple times etc. Oddly, it wasn’t like this the night of the update so I dunno… Its like the servers dont know how to handle slight variations in ping. People would lag and rubber band on H5 but they were usually people from outside the US. I never ever saw rubber banding from my own point of view on H5.

Yup, I agree. 120 ping and you are almost immortal ^^

If you come in contact with a vehicle in any way, it gets worse. It’s like they alter reality around you. I get lightly bumped by a teammate’s mongoose in a match and the whole game glitches out

It is so much worse for me… just please undo all the updates hah… I was totally fine December and January.

I’ve had issues since day one. But back in December and January is was closer to 50/50 in terms of hit registration. Now it’s 20/80 which has just completely ruined the experience.

YEEPPPP it’s far worse.

I just rage Quit because of it

Enemies shooting me through corners, one hit meee kills, invisible enemies, grenades having INSANE damage range due to Desync because you’re closer to the nade that you realize, on and on.

I’m back to Vanguard, Battlefield 1,4,5, Halo 4 and Halo 2

Maybe they fixed the high ping by lowering the displayed value to a third/quarter/fifth of what it actually is?

It appears that having good internet doesn’t help in any way. Even if your connection is good if your opponents is worse then yours then you’ll get more desync against them then they will you.

I haven’t played in two weeks so I can’t make any comment on how playable it is.

Merely making a snark remark that maybe i343’s fix on high ping for players, was to just show a lower ping, and nothing else.
Technically they fixed high ping, and we know how i343 loves being technical about stuff.

Yeah well I feel like ping to the server doesn’t matter currently if the opponents ping is still higher there will be still be desync. Them fixing ping just means you can walk through doors without teleporting back ten feet.

its not worse it just seems like it becuse of geofiltering
