On a serious note, could this be after they went to the Composer? I can’t help but think she looks much more solid there than she does in other cutscenes.

I don’t think so, compare that to this http://images.wikia.com/halo/images/a/a4/Cortana_halo4start.png
She’s way more dark, and her lines are less visible. She also is usually always a brighter blue, even in dark places.

I’m willing to bet it’s to do with graphical improvements as well.

If your thinking she went to the composer and got a solid hardlight body then you’re wrong, they wouldn’t reveal that in a trailer this early, and plus she looks no different to the other pictures we’ve seen except she’s in a shadow so she looks darker.

Perhaps when she “flickers” into rampancy she changes visually? I remember her having no pupils when she did it last.

I think it’s just 343i’s tone for the game, they want everything to look a certain way. I like the way she looks now.
