Chief really gives no indication that he recognizes Lasky from like 30 years ago.
he does, they just keep professional about it.
Of course he does, it’s quite obvious too!!!

In what way?
On their first meeting in the campaign, Lasky say’s “I didn’t expect to see you” or words to that effect,
I personally thought it was obvious he knew who Lasky was.
When Lasky introduced himself I thought that was a bit weird. But then all that time had passed, Lasky wasn’t a cadet any more but a grown man.
At the ending when he asked to join Chief, Chief said “Course not, sir” and Lasky said “At ease Chief, feels kinda odd for you to call me Sir”.
Which indicated the history between them both (As I’m sure we’re all aware from).
I got the impression he did, though he was pretty blank about the situation on the 4th mission he uses lasky’s name rather than his rank, suggesting familiraity with it.
Maybe it’s different in the books, but I have always figured that John (master chief) is actually Lasky’s genetic son. The way she talks about him, it’s the way a mother would. I know that they all somewhat view her as “mom”, but I think he is her actual son.

Trolling or just had a mental breakdown?

Lasky is just barely older than Chief. So I doubt it.

when laskey says : " I know it might be too soon to be asking you for a favor, but I dont suppose you’re any good at clearing a landing zone?"
and Chief replys “On Occasion”…Gee…its almost like chief cleared the Landing zone for them in forward unto dawn by killing those hunters. THat pelican sure seemed pretty safe since those hunters were taken care of :I

other way around, Chief is a year older than lasky.

Notice how Ragethedemon says “her”
I think he got Lasky and Halsey mixed up.
The way it felt to me was that, when he first encountered Lasky on Requiem, he knew he’d met him somewhere before but couldn’t quite remember where. Lasky seemed at least a little aware that the Chief may not remember him when he spoke about Corbulo.
Lasky states in his meeting the MC “Didnt expect to see you again”, clearly indicating he met him before. However the way the rest of the chat between them is worded makes it a bit grating on story telling. Lasky on the obs deck should have said " I grew up on corbulo, you remember that place right?" to give it more personality and show they know one another properly.
