So my CSR just took a major hit on BTB.
Game of strongholds.
It was an 8v5.
On guillotine.
Enemy had Sniper, Rocket and Banshee.
We had no hope…and no one was getting an IGJ to our team.
Why not?..

There used to be Join in progress just yesterday and I noticed today no one getting in when the enemy team had 4 open spaces… Yeah it was a bad game for them

I’d rather they added them back…
Well BTB does seem unbalanced. Seen way too many power weapons spammed, the maps aren’t that great and oddly seem smaller than what I’d expect from BTB maps. Removing JIP is a terrible idea since keeps already unbalanced as it is without even teams.
They had it but then removed it for some reason. Personally they should have kept JIP
BTB shouldn’t have JIP. It’s basically bigger arena (with vehicles). I think they need to reduce power weapon spawns. I remember on basin our team had something like 2 snipers and 2 incineration cannons in the centre tower. Still a great mode all the same - I would say guillotine is a bit weak.
They still have it. I played a couple hours ago.
JIP, ranked, and no persistent lobbies cannot go together. JIP on ranked playlists runs the risk of a player getting dumped into too many losing matches and their rank unfairly suffering. persistent lobbies, like we had in H3, can remedy that by making sure you only run the risk of getting dumped into an unfair match on your first search because every subsequent match you play is guaranteed to have you in it from the start.
Can we please just accept that BTB is a social game type 
for the first time in history every single big team match had even teams! Now it’s back to lopsided, slow paced, barren “big” team battles. Please community, don’t complain about EVERTYTHING…Jip isn’t evil lol. If you “need” Ranked BTB, how about we make it so that if you join an in progress game- the loss won’t count against you, but a win will? So joining a game in progress becomes an awesome opportunity? Or let’s just realize BTB is all about fun and let 343 bring back Jip without complaining regardless?..?..?

There are two very simple ways you can fix this though.
- You can’t join a match after a set amount of time, say three minutes.
- When you do join a game and are loosing it does not count towards your rank just like in Titanfall
You people act like there’s no way around these kind of things when it’s a really, really simple fix.

Either that or they could incorporate Spartan Companies into the game similar to how clans worked in Halo 2. I don’t recall quitting ever being a problem in Major Clan Match

That’s one thing I loved about Titanfall’s MP…

We just need social playlists in general.
I have noticed that in BTB it is extremely rare to have an even balanced game. Just yesterday I played a game and half of my team could not shoot and move at the same time -_-… The only game mode that I have had 2 close games on was strongholds and that was it. Every other game was a complete stomp out for my team or the other.
BTB should just be a social playlist. Keep JIP and have fun.
Give JiP back to BTB and move it to a social playlist, or make a JiP version available in a social playlist and keep the current arena one as is.
The only real reason to remove JIP was for people playing as a team would just rank up wins more often from people quitting
if teams are unfair the out come shouldn’t even count towards your rank
Jip is necessary in all of arena the teams always end up unbalanced. I’ve barely had a game in 4v4 where the teams were even I don’t want to even touch BTB any more.
