Needle rifle was one of my favorite guns in Reach and all of halo actually. I was hoping with the req system we might have a slight chance of it coming to Halo 5. But now with blood of Suban being a legendary req carbine, that basically is a needle rifle, does that, in your opinion, nullify any chance we had at getting a full fledged needle rifle?
In one word, Yes.
Not necessarily, but probably since it is basically a more powerful needle rifle
I’m more than fine if it does. Have you used the Blood of Suban? This thing has like a 4 shot supercombine.

It’s actually only a rare.
I can’t imagine that they would add it, but I don’t think they’ll keep adding BRs to the game. Clearly what do I know.
Put in all the BRs!!
I just feel that with the req system halo 5 could have the largest amount of sandbox weapons in the whole series. Reach had some of my favorite weapons, the needle rifle and the grenade launcher, and they were both taken out and future installments. I’d like to see them return. The needle rifle could have three variants: Standard, faster fire rate, and increased damage and semi automatic for final.
Does the model of the gun matter that much if it functions almost the exact same? I’m not saying you’re wrong for hoping for it if you really want it, but it does seem kind of nit picky to me personally.
The blood of Suban is 5 shot supercombine whereas the needle rifle has to take shields down first then three shot supercombine
I would say yes, but there are like 50 BR now, so I guess it is still possible. I doubt it though since the carbine is considered a “power weapon”
Well, we already have the Rocket Launcher and the SPNKR together, as with 5 and 2’s BRs. The addition of a Needle Rifle is very possible.
They added classic scope BR, then added classic BR. Yeah, it`s probs in the pipes.

Exactly. Even if it’s kind of a duplicate, it’s fun to have a variety even if it’s mostly aesthetically.
I honestly wouldn’t count anything out completely. They are planning to do monthly updates for at least a year and the possibility of more beyond that. They will most likely be adding new warzone toys in every one! Keep in mind that this was a very small update as well, I would be surprised if they only add a handful of new weopons in February. I believe the gravity hammer is confirmed and will probably have one or two different variants. Also the Blood of Suban is a TEIR 3 covenant carbine and rare. Legendary is the highest req rarety and the weapons with the gold diagnal band on the lower right hand corner are called mythic weapons (usually ultra rare or legendary req rarety) witch give you a permanent buff while equipped.
I maintain that the Carbine looks better than the Needle Rifle

What are you talking about? That needle rifle was -Yoink!-!

More powerful? What an understatement. The Suban is a glorious creation passed down from God himself to 343 to give to us!
I made a Mantis retreat or face destruction with that thing on Apex. It was glorious.
I’d have to say it does. It is the needle rifle, but with the skin of a carbine. Not sure why they went that route but they did.
I think it is unlikely tbh
