Does Anyone Wish They Would've Waited?

So Hi fellow forum members! I’m sure all of us are pretty starving for Halo info but it just crossed my mind about something. Since there is no “official” title given to the next halo project and VERY little info (Besides a concept image) has been given; does anyone feel like they should’ve waited?

Like I understand the trailer isn’t actual story from the game but lets say this year is H2A and next year is Halo 5. They showed “announcements” for new Halos not a remake.

Well I don’t know, should have 343 waited till this E3? Or are we in for a big news reveal?

I think the new Halo saga installments as a whole had been a hot topic ever since 2012, in other words, there was nothing wrong putting out a teaser.

Yeah, they probably should have waited to make the announcement. Seems kinda pointless to announce a game, and then just not even talk about it for an entire year. They really didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know. We knew they were obviously working on another Halo game, and that it only makes sense for it to come out on the Xbox One. I mean, they couldn’t even tell us the actual name of the game. That teaser trailer gave us basically nothing.

I don’t think it’d have mattered, everyone would just be as info hungry.

Because the name was never the point, we were by after a few months told it’s not a trilogy, but a saga now.

The “announcement” was extremely early and just as vague but it’s not as harmful as getting engaged today but planning the wedding a decade later

Without a doubt it was announced to remind everyone to factor Halo into their next gen console decision.

They had to scramble to say something just to remind people that there will be Halo on Xbox One.

This is kind of a dead horse anyway, we’re being put on media blackout until June, E3 to be exact.

If they hadn’t shown that E3 teaser we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy laughing gleefully at Halo5follower’s absurd speculation videos.

Bad jokes aside, it really doesn’t matter now. We’re not getting any info until E3 this year…and so we wait.

Honestly, yes, I do believe they could have waited. When I saw Halo Xbox One’s trailer at last year’s E3, I didn’t get all skittish in anticipation, as I usually do for a Halo game, I was actually annoyed that they were already announcing a new game, not even a year after Halo 4 came out.

Still, I’m keeping my hopes up for this year’s game being H2A, with Halo 5 coming out in 2015.

The guy wants financial support, don’t we all? But the problem here is the focus on Halo is backtracking itself in his case- which doesn’t help because of an ironclad E3 reservation of future Halo 5/Xbox One/Halo 2 Anniversary. I am not sure what we’re supposed to get in return of paying him actual money.

I’m sure this doesn’t hide the fact his previous monetary ventures went dead silent.

They did not want to loose the people who would have bought PlayStations instead of X1’s if there was no HALO and I would have been one of them. Destiny is on both and the X1 is not impressive and full of issues, lagging, and who knows what else as far as sever issues.

Sure I play on it but, I would have liked less of the frills that I did not use and have nothing to do with the game. I was hoping for a pure core game unit, snap for game features like maps. PiP would have been better than Snap at times and moving the PiP’s as tiles would have been great for radar, map tracking, and other created user gameplay content for trade and for sale.

Frankly I’m tired of waiting…I want to know more about what happened to Chief and please release some goddam info about the TV series, 343i!!! :@

It’s tricky. They had to do something big that left us wanting. I just wish they would give us a few scraps every few months. People gotta eat.

Not if it’s anything that makes us even more impatient, as gaming journalism moves on (or regresses depending on subject matter), giving out vague or useless chunks of info isn’t a practical thought-appetizer.

Last years E3 was just a tease. I expect 343 to have tons of big news for this E3, involving everything from multiple games to the “Halo tv series”.

I honestly dont think it matters considering how it was such a vague thing. All it did was announce a new Halo game.

Dun’ matter to me. Releasing the trailer later doesn’t make the game come out any earlier. To be honest, I’ve been waiting for Halo 5 since before the trailer.

Pretty much my opinion right there ^

The annoying thing for me, is that I’m deployed during E3. So unless they release some info before then, I’m not gonna know anything until July =/

… sucks.
