Does anyone want a Halo: Reach style forge?

Does anyone agree with me that these maps are just too ridiculously small! Me and my friends loved to build race tracks that go on and on forever, spend hours making them. whereas these maps are just stupid. i find it literally unbelievable that they thought this would be a good idea. Am i just on my own on this?

It’s not the maps we have that’s the problem, it’s the maps we don’t have. Those maps? Well, map… A dedicated space for forge, just a large empty space.

i totally agree. we dont have a blank canvas and its very very annoying, there isnt even a race game type!

I agree, but this can easily be fixed. If enough people bring it up, the updates they can do now will be awesome.

Hmm, whereas i agree with the fact that they can update it and bring things in, i think that we shouldnt be “blinded” by the fact that they didnt put it in in the first place! the amount of time me and my friends spent just building rubbish but enjoying ourselves was endless :slight_smile: its just a shame. ive been looking around the forums to see other people’s views on the forge and luckily we aren’t alone in our gruntles.

Parnezzi- i tried this on one of them, and its super small. each map is like a 50th of the size of forge.its really bad. in my opinion. i cant see a reason for why they would choose to make the forge this way.

I’m perfectly happy giving up some space to have maps that don’t look like they’re made of gray Legos. Sure, we probably can’t recreate the warthog run from The Maw on Impact, but you could build a track around the asteroids pretty easily.

I agree, Forge world in Reach was great.
I already made a thread about this issue, but can anyone tell me why the weapons I placed in Forge mode do not appear in my custom games?

These maps are wayyyy toooo small, please remake forge world (just don’t charge for it)

Also add more freedom, I really want to make my own game modes withing reason.

Some key features that would really help me with that is setting when things spawn and despawn and length spawned in for etc, you can also use trigger zones/objects etc that can be set to almost anything or nothing and when used or entred and specific requirements met it should then trigger a spawn/despawn of what ever linked to it.

This would although for several things some ideas of mine are:

  1. A flood map where parts of a map/complex are unlocked overtime/when an console is used and have turrets etc around that will despawn when new areas are unlocked etc, the way for the humans to win is to get to the final zone and use the last console to win.

I like the current forge, its just needs some work. For example: The forge ball needs to have its zoom in feature back.

Yeah, Halo 4 Forge was disappointing. I sort of suits the needs of people just making maps, but for race tracks… impossible.

I hope that, if at all possible, 343 makes us a big blank canvas just like we had for Reach.

The height ceiling IS super low.

It’s very hard for a serious map maker to create stuff.

i would like a sandbox or foundry remake…or forge world those were forging maps atm i think erosion is the best

Yeah. Impact is the better of the three maps, except that permanent building in the center just ruins it completely.

343 i leave you with a chalange make 2 forge world sized maps for dlc and bring back the original forge wold and most forgers will be happy also bring back persition placeing in tother words moving the peaces verry slowly sorry for the miss spells
