So do you use default Xbox One controller sticks, extenders such as Kontrol Freeks, or others such as on an Elite controller? Why? Do you prefer concave or domed sticks?
I use extenders because the default sticks are too small for me, which results in my fingers being on the perimeter of the stick at all times, which is obviously not good for aiming and strafing. I use Kontrol Freeks. Domed CQC on right stick and the high concave one on the left. I actually like the domed one better.
you don’t feel you have enough length as is?
Yep, Elite Controller. I use the extended one on the right analogue stick, allows more freedom and precision with aiming I find. Normal stick on left…it’s just running.

They increase they width of the stick as well, allowimg for more precise movements. Really -Yoink!- me in strafing and aiming. I cannot use those tiny default sticks.
Glad I read this, I bought an elite and never realised the thumb sticks were different lengths! Just left the original ones on.
I use stick extenders made by a company called Insignia. Not as fancy as Kontrol Freeks (they’re just rubber with someting firm inside) but they’re way cheaper. You get 2 pairs for $10 CAD, one concave pair and one domed pair. Work great and have awesome grip.
On my elite controller I installed the medium length domed sticks. They feel perfect to me on halo 5. The extra long sticks felt to long for me to use on halo but I would probably use them on a racing game like forza where I want extra fine steering control.
I have the elite controller but honestly I’ve never used more than one paddle…that’s all I actually bought it for :L

Grenade toggle, right?
i’ve Spartan charge and melee set to two others.
I use a Kontrol Freek on my right stick. Game Stop gave me some small nubs for preordering the MCC, so I keep one on the left stick.

I’m going to try company next, whenever my current ones run out. I would do that but I broke my thumb just pressing with normal so now I have Kontrol freek
I use the convex thumb sticks from the Halo elite button kit thing I got when I purchased my elite controller.
