IMO Active Camo is even more powerful than ARMOR LOCK. I use it all the time.
Especially when i know the other team is REALLY good and they are communicating.
Just today the whole enemy team was in a party together and i knew they were going
to kill us.
For the whole round i use active camo. And i could hear them complaining through
their mics, which brought a smile to my face :).
At the end of the round they called me “A little girl hiding behind my active camo”
But i didn’t care.
I think that nobody else ever uses it though because you have to be slow and patient
which people aren’t used to. But Active Camo has its rewards. And i can take down an
Armor lock noob anytime.
I have started calling it the “Anti-pro Armor ability” Because it easily counters
all those MLG Pro people.
Active Camo is useful in some situations, such as a nice assassination or as you said, taking on a horde of communicating enemies. Nevertheless, it is a more of a camping armor ability, but its whatever you prefer.
It depends on the gamytype, and map. Invasion: I use it for the first wave for the Elite side. Map: I mainly use it on small maps. Like Sword Base, ans Countdown.

I have had rounds where this group of guys SLAUGHTERS my team. And then on the
next round i play with them again, slap on Active Camo and destroy them
I use it, and if you use it long enough youll notice the enemy markers on your radar are still visible, just surrounded by a whole other bunch of red dots.

Thanked simply for your ability to distinguish that just because someone is good doesn’t mean they are MLG Pr0ZzZ; that is a rare occurrence on these forums.
OT: Active Camo is less annoying to the opponents than is AL but IMO it is more effective. 9 times out of 10 that you AL, you die anyway, just the kid who dropped your shields usually dies too, which is where most of the frustration comes from. Invis, while slightly frustrating with the radar jamar, is far more effective for actually surviving. I still find sprint to be the best AA in the game while also being the least frustrating to opponents.
I think Active Camo can be useful in both long range and short range combat. I normaly use it when wanting to move over a large map without being shot at by the other team for exmaple.
Two people on Boneyard Invasion rushing to the right side point and simultaneously activating Radar. It becomes so disorienting I once saw someone firing his Ar along the wall checking for people sneaking. Most people expect stealther’s to sneak in from my experience and when you use that Radar hammer like that on boneyard, It causes some damage.
i find the radar jammer infinitely usefull in Cqb, just for the fact it forces people to rely on visual, making it easier to worm and shimmey your way out of their field of view.
Overall, I do love stealth’s capacity to allow you to be sneaky overall. Even more so, I love random Scorpion Tank splatters. Driving along on Hemmorage and suddenly ‘splat’. Last time i had that happen, I didn’t even see the Radar; I just ran him over.
Its great. Ive had teams of 4 stare me down then all run straight past me because i was still. Its also good for creating a bubble of non-radar for your team to get down to business.
Whats that you say? Abilities have force multiplying effects for your team with proper usage? Why yes they do!
I use it some, 2 best times with it were when I had a sniper rifle and didn’t get betrayed, other time was when I had a shotgun and people were just running past me…good times…
I don’t really find it that annoying. It’s pretty easy to deal with. The issue I have is when the entire enemy team decides to use AC. That just pisses me off. Having one person can still make it seem like only one guy got the power-up, but having the whole team using it is just sad. It generally turns into a camp-fest and is not fun. It is slayer, not hide and seek.
Also, I don’t think it should be in the game. It is a power-up and should be fought over, not given out freely.
