Hello Halo Community,
Maybe some of you remember this post when my friend realized he could sprint in Halo 5
Today I come to talk about the same guy. He is always saying: “Yeah I killed the robot!” or “Wow, your robot looks pretty good with that new armor”
Needless to say that he didn’t play any Halo campaign, so he knows nothing about lore. But anyway, they talk like humans! (Because they are actually people)
When they say things like that, of course I tell him: “They are not robots, they are just super-evolved humans, right?!”
Just post if you have the same kind of friend LOL !
Im pretty sure Halo CE mislabeled Chief as a cyborg at some point lol

With the augmentations he does actually count as one. The problem is when people think of Cyborg they think of the Borg from Star Trek.
If you have a pacemaker you’re technically a cyborg.
I find it weird that the OP’s friend thinks spartans are robots though, even if you’re completely ignorant to the campaign, the voices of the characters and callouts in MP definitely suggest they’re human.

Technically all UNSC personal would be Cyborgs since they have an neural implant installed.
Plus, in the books, it’s said the Spartan-IIs move so quickly and fluently that they seem more like machines then real people.
They’re not robots per se.

“Security to the bridge, Master Chief has gone rampant!”

Squad of five invincible Marines spawn in and the bridge doors shut.

I think the only cyborg reference was when a grunt would scream, “Bad cyborg!”
OP’s friend is one of the most ignorant people I’ve ever heard of.
Yeah I remember that post lol
But this guy has no clue about anything I guess. Has he no interest in whatever about Halo?
“She said that to me once. About being a machine.”

LOOOOL I think he just lives in his world
I once killed a Grunt and he said "Bad Cyborg!’ I agree.
My 5 year old nephew thinks they are robots, so there is someone else haha.

Halo 4’s ending was amazing imo.
I think they are humans raised to be machines

I want those marines to guard my Warzone bases.

Same! Especially, because I loved that Bungie did it, that they gain a damage and accuracy boost for betrayal punishments as opposed to standard fighting.
But I want the Marine in the second mission, the one with the sniper rifle. If you’ve ever had him inside your Warthog… headshots for days, I tell ye, that Marine is an aimbot.
I mean, metaphorically you could call the S-II’s robots, but more because of their lack of humanity than any literal robotic qualities.
But to your point, op: I have a buddy that calls the warthog “The Car.” Cracks me up.
Well, your friend could be really hipster-y and know about how the original CE Spartans were supposed to be robots or something, before Combat Evolved was changed to be a first person shooter about a green super soldier… so yeah.
