I remember games in the actual halos “the ones where chief was the star” where you could get into matches get destroyed and still have fun ie. Griffball, Rocket Race, INFECTION, camping snipers you know the good ones. I cant name a single game-mode in halo 5 where i don’t care if i win or loose its just fun. I used to waste hours on infection and assault just having fun making up different rules with friends but now its either get sweaty or don’t play. I’ve had games where i got very sweaty very very sweaty indeed and i received hate messages it just doesnt make sense. Where is the fun loving community of halo?
I’d say, besides ranked arena, I could care less if I win in BTB or Warzone.
I still try to win, but I just don’t care for a loss in those games.
I do same with my team and family
I just played 9 games of Warzone Assault against the same guys and we won 8 in a row but they just kept coming and eventually ended our winning streak. They seemed to be having great fun trying to beat us and eventually they did. Great to see them keep soldiering on. We don’t usually get Warzone Assault games here in Australia so good on them for being good sports and keeping the games going.

But the thing is if you arent trying to win that game mode you might not mind if you loose but your team does and thats the problem where are the chill laid back kind of games?
I play Action Sack on MCC for pure fun. That gametype is by far the most fun out of any of the halos because there is no way you can take it seriously. One example. One match was spartan lasers and rockets and thrusters. That match was hilarious. the map also had low gravity it seemed.

Because this came caters to pro-type gameplay. MLG has killed “casual” gaming. I still can’t understand why they can’t have people join in progress in Arena. Nothing worse then being in a close game and 1 or 2 players drop out and you lose.

Every game I play, I play to win (including BTB and Warzone)
But BTB and Warzone aren’t ranked. So idc if I lose those games.

I’ll be the first to admit it if my team drops out and im down by 20 with 15 left to go i’ll quit the match. Arena is to sweaty for causal play
Every game I play is for fun. I don’t view Arena ranks as something where I need to be Champion or bust. I’m much happier to just play against people who are in my skill level and gradually get better.
I’ll never understand the 4 man teams who try and place their way to Onyx just to get wrecked every game.

Blame 343 for not having both ranked and social playlists. If we had both playlist then this problem wouldn’t occur so much. Also if 343 actually made teams match teams that would also help rather than letting a team of 4, match with 4 complete randys.

As do I. Happened last night… I was in a party of 2 in a slayer match that we were down 15-12. 2 players dropped so we just left. 15-12 turned to 23-14 so we left. I play to win but more importantly to have fun. Playing 2v4 isn’t fun.
The game is becoming more and more frustrating and less and less fun.
I can’t find a single game that isn’t full of tryhards. You can NOT play this game without a full squad in any game type and expect to have fun. I go into arena with a 3 man team, sure enough the 4th man random quits. I go into Warzone with a few friends, sure enough we are matched against a full fireteam from the same company that runs us over.
The matchmaking is plain awful. I have never had a problem with it in any Halo game except this one. I can’t remember that last time I played a fun, balanced game in which either team wasn’t loaded with quitters.
Can’t think of any other way to play.
I don’t understand the question. Why would you play something you don’t enjoy?
I have to go sweaty try hard, otherwise I’ll get creamed in arena. It’s still kind of fun, though.
If there was no way to view my own stats I wouldn’t give a damn and I’d have a LOT more fun.
I would get my friends to help, but all of them threw Halo in the trash or sold it for $2 to Gamestop.
