Does anyone still play halo 3.

> Why in the love of god do people post this kind of stuff in the halo 4 section, please someone answer me WHY!

Cause i’m wondering how much halo 4 players still play halo 3. Also there is probably more people here.

Yeah, I play Halo 3 the same amount as 4 and Reach.

I’m on it right now. With a group of friends. Just sealed the deal on another one of my hundred perfections as well =)

Occasionally, for Campaign.

The last time I played it was 2 days ago. Yes the characters move slower and yes they don’t have power ups, but I enjoy the spiker nades and I find the maps to be a lot of fun. The weapons also feel more stable as opposed to H4.

I play everyday, invite me anytime

I played H3 MM last night, surprised that even a handful of people still play this. As it usually happens, I got my -Yoink!- handed to me in Lone Wolves (since it seems to be the only arena with a decent enough population). To say the least, the gameplay from H3 to H4 has drastically changed. I felt like I was moving in slow motion, could barely leap unless assisted by man cannons, and all weapons felt puny and woefully imprecise (except for certain power weapons like the gravity hammer, the rocket launcher and the spartan laz0r, which sound and feel like they pack a harder punch in the older game). I’ll say this though: the game still looks very pretty. The colors, lighting and models look much more attractive than Reach’s and even Halo 4’s. That’s a point that I will always contest in regards to H3’s graphics. And I enjoyed playing as an Elite. You listening, 343??

I’ll agree about the story: Bungie shortchanged us, bigtime. But then, they didn’t give extremely solid stories in any of the prior games or even Reach. Regardless, there were so many missed opportunities to expand the Arbiter’s story and his now very difficult relationship with the Demon that disgraced him back in the first game. Same thing with Cortana. Unexplained images haunting John, then a rescue, and then the final battle, and that’s it. Nothing more to be said between them two for the next four years. Then 343 did give us a more solid story and a more fleshed out John-117. That it took the better part of ten years and a different developer to reach that point doesn’t say much for this franchise, does it?

It’s clearly obvious H3 is dead and it won’t take long for last few servers to be shutdown via a huge party like it happened with Halo 2 (well, at I least I hope so). But I can’t see myself going to this game unless it’s on one of those rare instances every other year that I want to replay the campaigns.

24 hours later, I’m eating my own words. Many a frantic battle in Lone Wolves and SWAT later, and I can’t help falling in love with this game again. Battles decided by skill and BR spread, not AAs and cheap “innovations” coughcoughCODcoughCODcough that otherwise tarnished a classic experience. Still, it’s a shame so few people are playing this anymore. Anyhoo, if any of you need an extra player to party up, just send a message @ GT - GhostRider1172.

I still play Halo 3 from time to time! Love to play a custom gametype over on sandbox. Pretty much just to see how far you can launch your ragdolling body!

I also love to play some Swat and CTF for old time’s sake <3

Yaaa that pretty much sums up my feelings for 343’s version of Halo

Hey man add me on Xbox Live, I’m always looking for people to play ranked matches with, I feel blessed when I can get a game that doesn’t have a deranker in it. The more people I can find to play the better!!!

I agree here. The maps are real fun, though i didn’t realize how slow halo 3 moves. It almost plods… I guess overall what i like about it is Halo 3 has kinda “pure” feeling.

Every once in a while, then I rage quit because I’m not used to the game mechanics anymore.

I still play it, why? Because it actually FEELS like Halo. people use callouts and strategy in it and don’t spend the round camping to fill up their ordinance meter. Its fun if you get use to the slower paced combat, but it (to me anyway) feels like the last true Halo.

Halo 3 never leaves my disk tray. Halo 4 got the boot faster than reach did. Slayer and snipes is always a good time and the population is still quite lively.

From time to time I usually play it but I mostly play Halo 4 because its fun and I’ll be completely honest the commendations in halo 4 are so time consuming but that’s why I like it.

> No, I’d rather go down a slide made of sandpaper than play the multiplayer in that game, the campaign, sometimes (this should be in the Halo 3 forum)

I recently unlocked the Security helmet. I had 1000 G-score on 3 for quite some time, I apparently just needed a few more “cheevos” to light a fire under it.

Now there’s nobody for me to, uh, drink t33 with while wearing it…

Haters gonna hate…
Anyways, yes I do play Halo 3. The only bad things are the netcode and the small population.
Armor abilities are a mess in Reach and Halo 4, and the mechanics are still broken in Halo 4.

Since I had to get a new Gt, it kinda sucks that I have to start over. BUT when I had my first game in a very long time in MM I got a Perfection. The game is a little too easy for me. I still play it now, and I tend to play Lone Wolfs, the one playlist that I was good at.
