Does anyone still have hope for Infinite?

Halo has been my favorite first person shooter game for a long time, I loved it from day one and I will always love the franchise till the end. However after the demo trailer a lot of people were upset due to the poor graphics and gameplay of the game which I completely understand since we are closed to the release date of the game and we all expecting perfection in the trailer. In my mind, I am confused why is no one grateful the fact that we got a glimpse of Infinite at the very least instead of getting another trailer similar to last year’s trailer of the game. I don’t know what else to say about this topic, but I still have hope for 343 to finish the game the right way so everyone can enjoy it and relive the legacy of halo.

I am very hopeful for the game! As has been said many times the game looks very fun and I am excited to play it but it absolutely needs a little polish.

Plenty of hope for the game.
There’s just a very loud negative perception.
People who are happy with the game so far don’t have much to complain about.
Sadly we’re more likely to hear the negative than positive on the forums

Plenty I’m just nervous after seeing the gameplay footage lots of new guns were added and idk how it’s going to fit into multiplayer

Do you think the negative perception is unjustified?

I do. I’m especially looking forward to the multiplayer, I have no doubts it will be fun!

Me too I can’t wait for the multiplayer!

I’m plenty hopeful. The gameplay reveal, while not visually impressive, gave me a good look at what to expect from the future.

I just hope the eventual MP debut comes with a lot of… “meat”. Show us multiple maps, multiple modes, new weapons/equipment, and give us the details on what (if any) enhanced mobility is enabled/disabled for the competitive side of things.

For sure, I just don’t have hope it’s going to have truly next gen graphics.

There is nothing to really worry about with this game. The reason there is such a crazy negative reception is because of the fans are reacting to what they saw based on very little information given; this results in panic and the best example of this is the reaction to COVID-19 worldwide, further enhanced by media portrayal to get more revenue for the news networks. 343 Industries has put a lot time and effort into this game and what they show us is a PC rendering of Infinite to Show Xbox X. The game is so good and Xbox series that the PC render couldn’t handle what it had going through its systems; If it was done on Xbox series X, it would’ve “looked a lot better”. I hope that is “consolation”.

I’ve got hope!

Infinite could be a huge success if it went back to classic and stopped copying other games. People aren’t going to stick around and keep playing the game long term when it brings nothing new. I and a lot of other people probably would rather play newer innovative advanced movement games like titanfall. I want to play a halo game because I expect it to play like a halo game. Not other games. Also, obviously the graphics need to be fixed especially for the series x and pc.

0 hope to give 343.

They need to show me something to have hope for first, I’ll be waiting.

I’m still excited, after watching the trailer in 4k the visuals are alot Better, and then we have the open world the visuals of chief are amazing and I just want more halo lore and story,

So yeah I’m excited

Not necessarily.
I think with so much silence on the game for such a long time it has definitely lead to a lot of speculation and guessing. People had hopes for what they wanted the game to be.
It hasn’t delivered that for everyone, so I can see why people are upset. But the game is what it is, I doubt any huge changes will come and solve everything.

I think we just have to accept Infinite as it’s own experience, some will love it, some will hate it. That’s just the way these things go really.
I didn’t really want an open world, am I going to get upset and outraged about it? Nah, just a game. Il take a new Halo game over nothing

I’m hopeful, and I am a bit of an old school purist. Campaign looks fun, gun play, sandbox and art style look like classic Halo. Graphics are rough, but I’m sure they will improve. I don’t care if they don’t tbh, but I realize the negative impact that will have on Halo and Xbox in general, so I hope its fixed for that reason. I like that grapple is a pickup and equipment is back. I like that ADS is gone and sprint looks slowed. Those factors may make for decent map design and not have the whole weapon sandbox be death lasers. All in all I think we will end up with a multiplayer that is slightly better than Reach and I will gladly accept it. I think that is the closest we can get to pleasing both fan bases in the modern era.

cautiously pessimistic

I’m totally hopeful!
Remember the trailer when it sais “Become the hope”? Well, we are the hope… literally xD

I finally watched the demo on my 4k 55 inch LG TV and wow does it look different than my 1080p stream initial impression. It looks great just like Phil said after all. Y’all are some trippin’ ath haters if you think it looks poor at 4k 60 FPS psh. Plus it’s still a work in progress plus it’s got no ray tracing yet.

Most of the textures and special effects from the ravager and stuff don’t even get visually translated over at 1080p resolution.
