First off I would like to say I really like this game. I love playing this game and think its getting a lot more hate than it should. But that is not the point of this topic, the question is “Do you like playlists rotation?” I realize what its for and what it is trying to prevent, but does anyone really like it? I personally do not like it and would rather have a bunch of playlists for more variety. I think more people would play if their was more playlists. This is my opinion and I was wondering what you think of this.
i do.
I do not. I’d rather they had what Reach had: all the playlists with a rotational “double XP” or “Jackpot weekend” or something like that.
IMO the playlists are WAY too limited. There are no variants and they get old fast.
Where is SWAT Potato? SWAT Magnums? Big Team Objective? Snipers, Doubles, Multi-team, etc. should all be included and should have been there since launch. There are more playlist options in Reach and that game has significantly lower population than H4 does and finding a game in Reach is no problem. I don’t get the irrational fear of having too many playlists.
No. I like some predictability in my life. I wish if a playlist does well 343 would let it stay. But nope, they just change it anyway. It pisses me off. I can only have Grifball, Team doubles, and community maps (all of which were promised at launch) for one week!
Yes and no. I think it makes it so players can’t completely boost in Grifball for the CQC commendation, just a little note. But it cuts the variety in the game.
It would be good for new playlists like team regicide and FFA throwback.
But for classics like doubles? That’s disgraceful.
I liked it for a few days… Now I’d rather just have em all now. At first I loved them due to the fact when I got bored with one play list, the new rotated ones were where I headed. It was hard for me to actually get out of a playlist in Reach and go do the others. “It’s gonna be there later.” Type thought.
Hell no. It’s a horrible idea that should of never been implemented.
If I want to play a certain gametype, I should be given the option to pick that specific one.
I shouldnt have to go play Reach if I want to play Team Snipers. So no.
Nope
I do like them.
However, the worst performing (population wise) should be ditched the next week, regardless.

I’m with you. If they switch out doubles I’m gonna be mega mad.
I don’t understand the value of rotating playlists.
People like variety and they like being able to play what they want.
I like em.
BUT.
There are certain playlists that should’ve been there at Launch, and remain permanent. Doubles, FFA, SWAT, Team Slayer, Team Snipers… these are Playlists that have been in MM since H2.
I know what they are doing or atleast i think i do.They are putting playlists on rotation to see which is most popular with the full community at once in a week, better results that way. Most likely they are experimenting to find the best of the best. They might be worried the community would get too stretched and way things are looking, it seems reasonable.Best to use the wait and see approach, i know that worked badly with the launch but 343 learned a few things(well several).Halo 4 will get better, 343 only has humans working with them and every human can and will make a mistake at one point or another.

Again, the population argument doesn’t really hold water. The population is substantially stronger than Reach’s and Reach has more options with a similar Matchmaking time (for me, anyway).
Partially to blame is the UI, which is awful. They should have kept it like Reach, where games were broken down by type with variants in Map Voting and all the classic playlists there from the beginning.
No. To be blunt. I really don’t understand the reasons even though I’ve heard their reasons. I think its better if more experimental games were put on rotation.
rotational playlist is intended to keep things fresh? might as well throw the classics back in permanently. it’s been since 2004/2007.

Yes I aggree. They should have made a better UI like Reach and better. Halo 4 is lacking in customization.
