they ruined the maps. I’m about to call it quits. they couldn’t afford to mess up the game anymore but they did with the vehicle and weapon spawns. The least I will say is I’m not happy with them. If they fix their broken maps then I will be happy again. But I’m not counting on it. I’m tired of giving them hope and having it somewhat satisfied and then crushed by a stupid decision.

The maps are better now. Therefore, you are wrong.
At first I loved them. Halo 4 launched they confused me and over time I began to hate them. Now they are earning my trust back. They are trying ans they are listening better. Lighten up.
ive lost what little skill i had in this game. im close to giving up too, but that isnt 343’s fault. halo is hard to play in multiplayer. i really dont know why everyone derides it as easy idk maybe disabled people arent meant to play video games
A Halo live action web series, and now a Halo live action TV series. While not a movie, it’s definitely something fans have been wanting.
Flood Combat Form when infected in Infection. Fans have asked this since Infection was first introduced as an official gametype in Halo 3.
The lead guy of 343i admitted that they messed up some things with Halo 4. Bungie never admitted that they messed up Reach.
The June 3rd Update is just freaking amazing.
Spartan Ops is a Campaign DLC. Something fans have been asking for.
Finally got to fly a Pelican without some kind of mod/Easter Egg.
Custom Loadouts. The overall of Custom Loadouts is balanced and well done (especially now), and I love Custom Loadouts. I can finally run my BR/Plasma Rifle combo (or in this game, LightRifle and Storm Rifle). AR/BR/Carbine/DMR lovers can run ARs/BRs/Carbines/DMRs when they want to without having to find it on the map over and over and over again. They don’t have to be forced with a certain weapon/role.
Forge. Yes, there’s no Forge World. Xbox is getting too old. But, 343i did make multiple Forge maps for Forgers to forge on, which allows different pallets. 343i made it where you didn’t just see the color “gray”. And then, listening to the Forgers, gave them a free, huge, Forge canvas with three flat spaces.
Eh, it’s late. Brain needs sleep. But I’m sure I can definitely come up with more stuff. Yes, 343i messed up in some areas, but they’ve learned their mistakes, and they’re getting better and better. So yes, I like 343i.
As for your complaints…
Maps: Reach’s were way worst. And I actually enjoy majority of the maps in Halo 4.
Weapon balancing: They’re amazing now.
Custom loadouts: To you, maybe. To me, I love them.
Vehicles: Ghost’s messed up splatters came from Reach. Mantis is freaking awesome, and you know it (it has its own freaking theme song, for God’s sake!). And there is a good amount, I can definitely live with what we got; At the least, we’ve got every vehicle from the previous Halo games that have stayed throughout the entire trilogy.
Ranking: Progression could’ve been done way better. CSR is actually reasonable and good, it just needs to actually pair you up with others of your rank.
Custom games: I’m expecting this to be the next big fix (Gametype-wise, 343i did say it’s possible to bring them all back, they just haven’t had the time, but now they do have the time). But still, we basically have the same options as we did from Halo 3, give or take.

Might want to learn the difference between fact and opinion there. Hint: What you said is an opinion.

Sounds like you would jump in a fire if it had Halo written on it. I mean nothing has been revealed yet and your jumping the gun already hoping for next to be better.
Seriously don’t get investing into things you can’t clearly see yet.
This is their first attempt at a Halo game, and, still, it’s my favourite out of the entire series.
In my opinion, H4 has the best campaign so far (a bit short, but I enjoyed it a lot) when it comes to story (H3 was a bit more complex but it was a mess of a storytelling).
And Spartan Ops Season 1 got so amazing at the very end both in story development and some pieces of gameplay.
Their biggest issue was Matchmaking. But it’s normal, it’s their first try at a game to introduce new features, and that changed the sandbox hugely. Still, it was playable from a beginning.
And with this update, I think it’s just awesome now. A pitty they can’t get more people to come back, if they announced this update as Xbox LIVE messages (like Happy Wars does), I bet population wouldn’t drop from 7k.
Bungie would have stuck to the classic gameplay, it would be like Halo Reach but without bloom and maybe some armor abilities. 343I, on the other hand, used H4 to try out a new sandbox and improve upon it with each update and game, which is more challenging IMO.
I like 343I…i mean, cut them some -Yoinking!- slack, man, it was already established long ago that they aren’t Bungie. They seem to be learning from their mistakes. Change doesn’t happen overnight…it requires patience.
I’m in-between. Tolerating them but not blindly supporting their every decision or hyping myself up for disaster. E3 2012 taught me to wait before coming to a conclusion.
Yeah I like them, but not 100% trust/enthusiasm.
> 5) Spartan Ops is a Campaign DLC. Something fans have been asking for.
Eh what? I didn’t ask for a Firefight replacement with little to none features (needs scoring, skulls, checkpoints) and incentive (poor Challenges, ridiculous Commendations).
Spartan Ops is a badly botched hybrid.

True. Also, the H4 Ghost is a lot more maneuverable. In previous games, when you were boosting, you could barely strafe or turn. The only thing it lacks is a better hover height and better traction (having trouble climbing up small rocks and slanted walls is ridiculous).

Did they nail Halo 4 on their first try? Nope. DBut for their first game as a collective studio Halo 4 was actually pretty good. Now they work out the kinks and errors, and they know what they did wrong and how to keep it closer to the competitive Halo experience from the past.
They are learning and improving, and they will continue to do so.
For Halo 5 they will better know how to keep Halo moving into the future of gaming while retaining its core style of gameplay better.
It won’t be going back to Halo 3 style or something, but they can still make it a new Halo.
I am having the most fun I’ve had for a while on Halo 4 after this weapon update. Everything feels better for me. I haven’t truly noticed much of the map updates, but its nice to freshen things up once in a while, get the flow of combat moving in a different way.
343 has done a lot of good stuff it’s just that talking about the bad stuff is funner for people on these forums.
You don’t see ten posts a day regarding someone still loving the fact that we finally have Flood skins for infection or how awesome the new visors are or how about that got to fly a pelican with a spartan laser attached.
