Does anyone on here know how to get in contact with someone at 343 industries I have an idea on how they could maybe solve the scalping problem with the Halo infinite collectors edition if they plan on making more and because the scalpers are such a problem then I think some of the exclusive stuff that is in the collector’s edition should be available for players to buy on the Xbox store maybe a year or two after the game comes out obviously anyone who was lucky enough to get the collectors edition would have immediate access to it when the game releases
No, they love you and care about you but if you could change the topic title to not clickbait idiots like me and just make the post about the plan, and have it posted on Reddit and Twitter to gain more momentum than they will come to you, if not respond over one of the medians they use. I don’t recommend the Discord, DM’ing them unsolicited ideas will earn a block or ban I’m pretty sure.
When it passes the trial by community (to which people pick apart your plan to foolproof it, and you sell it to us (the community) that help retweet or upvote your plan is typically when they accept unsolicited ideas. Take that approach, we’re all in this together after all.
my plan is simple all they need to do is start selling it in stores and that will solve a lot of problems it would be hard for a scalper to make off with 100 copies or something from the same store and they should only sell in in stores not over the internet this would make it extremely hard in a pain in the but for scalpers to get a bunch of copies
There is scalping in every industry even the Aquarium hobby too in rare fishes or high quality foods. That industry is practically all from a fishers market completely offline, yet people still find a way to scalp.
To be more explicit, Scalpers can pay people to line up at stores; Scalpers can go to multiple locations in the span of 1-2 hours or 50 mile radius even more to get more than one console. They can still scalp. Its only worse now because there are bots that do all the work, adding to cart and checking out faster than a human could.
The only way that’s working against scalpers are lotteries, similar to how they are doing the AMD RT 6900 XT graphics card. But this almost guarantees that anyone who really wants it will never have a 100% chance of getting it.
so you’re basically saying the only solution is to some how find all the scalpers and eliminate them all
This isn’t the forums for debate on capitalisms cons and how scalpers are an earned opportunity but really consider what other options are out there. Its not a problem to be eliminated but remediated through better operating procedures and so far no industry professionals has made one.
If we start talking about the blockchain and where it can add value its relevant but the game and actual console to come we are just a few years short of implementing.
