This question has been asked a lot and I can’t find a thread whenever I asked I could never get a straight answer so which disk do I download to play off the one disk. Is it disk 1 or 2 I’m probably going to feel dumb when I get the answer.
Disc 2 (multiplayer) completely installs onto your xbox.

Thank you, this has been bugging me for a while.
Disc two you install, and disc one you play everything from.

No more “failed to load map” vetoes in War Games for the majority of matches. Thank the gods.

Indeed, that got real annoying at the best of times.

I hope that is the case . .
But I have doubts about that, because every other 360 game requires the disc to be in the disc drive, because of DRM =(
No, if you played Forza, you’d know, infact Frank even described Halo 4’s disk content to be like forza’s. You play from disk one and install disk 2. And i just disproved your point, cos forza isnt wone of those games. If you try to play disk 2 in forza, it just does the install thing, so yeah, the game is fully protected.

It works similar to the forza games.
You download the content from the disk to your harddrive and play the content using the first disk.
This sounds like a good set up for the game, that way those occasional lazy moments I have wont prevent from playing the game as smoothly as possible
without switching out discs. I am guessing this is what the amount of memory 8 GB if i remember correctly, was needed for, and games in general play better, smoother, if downloaded to the Hard Drive itself.
I am guessing they still were pushing the boundaries of memory on Disk 1 because of everything that is packed on it, and the Campaign being so huge from what I understand, even without Multiplayer being on it.

Hell yeah, and that always happened on maps I wanted for some reason…
