I leave 1 May to mid August and will miss the first narrative event, which is probably the number one thing I’m looking forward to now.
Will it be replayable and accessible similar to how the Spec Op missions were replayable and accessible in Call of Duty?
The FOMO is real with me right now.

Do you know what these narrative events are? That looks interesting but I don’t recall reading about those.
The only thing I’ve heard about them were 343 talking about them a few months ago, and then the new roadmap says the first narrative event begins May 3rd, where you play as your Spartan in some storyline.
Which I absolutely love.
If they’re not playable after the community will go nuts. I think even a blind man could see that.

True, but their idea of FOMO and everyone else’s idea of FOMO are two different things.
The sheer existence of narrative events in the timeline surprised me because frankly my expectation from this live service nonsense is zero at this point. Then I saw the end dates and I too was very confused.
Thing is, we really don’t have a clue what “narrative event” even means. If it means a sort of Spartan Ops mission then for the love of god this needs to be playable post the end of these events. But there could be other things like adding forge variants of maps (since forge is internally playable) with a certain theme, or specific challenges with thematic rewards, which I could see being temporary.
I suppose we’ll find out what it is in a couple weeks.
Well some of us will. Others wont know until we are back near internet a few months later, and may have possibly, completely, missed the event.

I was assuming they were things like Winter Contingency and Cyber Showdown.
I am expecting the narrative events to be a cutscene and an event battle pass. That’s it. I think a lot of these people expecting some kind of playable mission(s) are setting themselves up for disappointment.
Correct me if im wrong, havent they already said they would be missions and the ongoing scenario from the beginning of the game using your Spartan?
Ongoing scenario of just having been newly trained at the secret academy and getting ready to go out and conduct operations?

You’re totally right. There’s pretty much no way that it would be any kind of significant PvE event. 343 isn’t capable of doing that, and if some reason they were able to then they would have marketed the hell out of it to beg people to stop leaving the game.

Well, narrative event was beyond a huge disappointment. Now indont have FOMO while im gone. Not missing anything.
