No I did not have a swear redacted in the title, I am of course referring to the act of killing a player who is being assassinated and therefore taking the kill from the assassinator. I know it’s divisive but I personally love assassinations. And it really grinds my gears when i start to execute a player and a team mate or opfor (in ffa) steals the kill from me. (Thank god they stopped giving medals for it after halo:reach.) I myself only interrupt an assassination to maybe do a showstopper on someone whose killing one of my personal friends, otherwise I usually let it play out, killling the player after if they are on the enemy team. What do other people think?
Agreed. It’s a bit cheap and also breaks a cool animation 
I will do a ‘show stopper’ if I can, but would never intentionally steal a team mates kill.
I personally love assassinations in multiplayer. It gets on my nerves when a teammate comes up and steals the kill from you.
It’s part of the game, if you don’t like it then turn assassinations off.
if its FFA ill take them both… nothing saying you can’t take both kills in FFA, but team games i leave it

Also, someone on the enemy team was assassinating the Covert Major in Warzone. I yoinked it and killed him.

That’s just about the only time I’d intentionally yoink lol.

Nope. But I was in the game and saw it. We were winning a 4v4 on Skyline BY OURSELVES while our randoms were doing random things and had no kills. One was assassinating a dude and all I hear is, “No. NO. You don’t deserve that kill, it’s mine!”
I turned and watched the guy being assassinated get shot in the head and our random’s kill count stay at 0.
Oh and? We won the game. Our randoms went a whopping 2 and -40 or so COMBINED. 
I prefer the celebratory tbag in front of them while they are getting assassinated…you know for that extra humiliation. That might also be considered bad manners though.

Nice and I know that feel, was on destiny once and carried a game of control on my own with 5 derps on my team, 42 kills 2 death and had 4x the score of the closest team mate, thus I try to never lone wolf team games anymore.

Nah, i don’t mind if people yoink me, however if I yoink and they kill me you bet I will boot right away if the option comes up.

Multiple times, I wont kill them but they will feel my displeasure. It irritates me more in halo 5 because assassinations are harder to get now because of the way shoulder charge and ground pound work, i tend to sprint into assassinate and end up charging ppl. Shame they couldn’t make it so that charges from behind triggered an assassination.
Yes and no. I only Yoink if it’s a good friend assassinating and we’re just messing around. Or when it’s in a team-game where my teammate is the one getting the knife in the back. It’s a team game after all, gotta stick out for them
If I see my teammate assassinating someone, I run in front of them and -Yoink!- until it’s over. I find that much more entertaining to do then to steal their kill.
This thread taught me that I could turn assassinations off.
I’m going to do this, because more often than not, I die as a result of being the one performing the animation.
I agree, hate stealing my assassinations (warzone its absolutely bcrazy when multiple team mates shoot at who I’m assassinating but get what can you do with that many people. The only time I steal assassinations from team mates is when my clan do customs as its more of a way to joke and mess around but in matchmaking I let it go as I hate getting yoinked matchmaking.
i hate how this happens. i think i’ve gotten one or two assassinations all the others get yoinked from me in phenomenal displays of Dbaggery…my last attempted i’m in warzone and an enemy is trying to cap an armory solo. he kills a teammate just as i’m entering the door behind him. i grab him go for the assassination and as i do a teammate runs into the opposite side door, sprints around the req station and sword kills the guy i’m assassinating. unless i’m out in the middle of nowhere with a guy and doing it i NEVER get the kills. it’s always stolen and i can tell when it’s accidental and when it’s intentional…it’s rarely accidental…
