I have never been a fan of the Wasp. Players who have multiple Wasp REQs pretty much dominate early-game because there are no good anti-air counters available by that point that don’t require you to be in a premade. Plasma Pistols don’t do the job if the Wasp keeps its distance (which it will), and Warthogs require coordination (and don’t always work anyways).
Even if the Wasp and its variants are fragile, they are still so annoying to have to deal with at such an early point, and are a main cause of Warzone snowballing.
Can something be done to perhaps nerf them? Maybe make them REQ 4 minimum?

This is what I’m getting at. It’s hard to counter with low-REQ weaponry. And no, BR’s are not effective if the Wasp pilot’s teammates are taking potshots at you.

You do realize it’s easy to dodge at long ranges, and Wasps tend to stay at such a distance so they can pelt people from afar.

The wasp has no evasive counter ability like a banshee or phaeton. It is not easy to dodge. In fact, they can’t dodge. They can merely attempt to hide or screen themselves.
and if a wasp is out of range of your with a plasma pistol, then you shouldn’t have a problem with it. The wasp’s effective range is rather limited.

This statement exactly.
It’s practically a gungoose with a machine gun, shields, and flight. All at the cost of next to no downfalls or debuffs.
level 2 vs level 3 req, with 3 being the enemy wasp, is not fun in general. Pistols and ARs aren’t enough to do anything major to the wasp.

I don’t know if the wasps need changing but they can dominate the map. One match i was playing the enemy brought out 4 wasps early in the match and we couldn’t get out of the base. It took awhile to get to req 4 and pull out a railgun but by that time they were way ahead. By the end of the game I shot down 6 wasps. It doesn’t happen often I believe but I have been know to be wrong.
the grenade launcher works pretty good to that level 3 a long with the ONI hog that can shred through a wasp really fast but I agree with the plasma pistol strat

I agree with this. I have run through almost all my PP’s dealing with Wasps and other vehicles. I am always surprised when there aren’t more kids doing the same.
Oh, and I must be either really bad, or have really bad luck because I never had a whole lot of opportunity to use them. Every time I have spawned one I am almost immediately shot down. The only time I can survive and rack up good kills and assists is in BTB or FF.

Use the BR on the weakspot. At level 3 REQ you have access to the BR and some othe useful items. Now if you are level 2 REQ hope to God that you have a good scope on your AR and extend mags on the magnum or else you wont survive for long.
I would not object if they moved them all up one req level. However there are ways to take them down at req level three. Vehicles still do count, just because some are unwilling to use them doesn’t mean they don’t count.

I’d be in favor if that, there have been a few too many 2nd minutes swarms of late imo.
I believe they are Overpowered but only because there seems to be no good counters atm. So maybe we should be asking for more Anti-Air weapons and vehicles.

He did say BR shots at their weak points. Sorry but wasps aren’t difficult if the team makes it a focus, the issue is so many dip -Yoink- ignore vehicles in general, it’s why you’ll see a banshee or tank get 40+ kills cuz the team left it alone for so long. In a wasps case getting 2-3 guys using a BR will do the trick. I need more information cuz I mainly solo warzone now a days and I really don’t ever have issues with a wasp, have I had to work extra hard to take one out? Yes, but overall I’m not getting constantly dominated by them and I see it as the opposite cuz many wasp get to close where I’ll EMP them or just rail gun it. You said earlier it’s hard to take wasps out if they keep their distance, i’d wager not even 90% of the users even try keeping their distance.
