Does anyone else miss FF Limited?

I do. It was what actually kept Firefight a survival mode. It was about sticking together and being careful with your life. Not about jetpacking around with a fuelrod and blasting everyone away. I hope they bring it back in a future update.

I’ll have to join in on this one with you, back when FF actually encouraged skill over a points free for all. Now it’s literally run around, hack slash rack points, no team work, and my god how hard is it to turn your damn mics on and work together? I’ve ran into one person with a mic all weekend! Wtf

Yeah I agree. I missed it. :frowning:

I just came back from a year long hiatus to find it missing, and to see that the friendly, chatty, scratch my back and I’ll do the same element of the community is gone, what the frak happened?

This, definitely. Firefight isn’t fun anymore!

Yes! It was FF Limited that re-taught me how to use team work in FF. Playing it in doubles just doesn’t cut it. Limited should be brought back regardless of the population.

I’m with both of you, you know my opinion, but in all reality, I wouldn’t want to be on a team with most of the arrtards that are even in the community at this point. I mean seriously, I was in a couple btb ctf matches this weekend and not one single mic other than mine to be found, I ended up baiting my dog into howling the whole match. I miss teamwork, sorry to go off topic but I dunno what in the heck happened while I was gone

Yep FF Limited was the only thing that i really enjoyed playing online, i hated dealing with people in MM because they whine too much about stats and things, stealing my kills, thats my weapon i want it etc etc etc.

instead they give us doubs and if some one rage quits, your on your own, where in FF limited with 4 players, you still had at least 1 or 2 other people to play with.

i dont care about the points or any thing because in arcade i tend to be the one with the most and im normally just farting around shoting randomly, i get countless assist medals and the like, because thats really all i actually want when playing arcade.

but the other thing is the game types, there arnt any that force you to use auto, close range like the shot gun or just pistols, not to mention that only the grunts and skerms get a game type that you only fight them, i would like to fight only brutes, elites, hunters hell even just generals.

but back to topic, in limited you actually had to think about what you used, did you save the rockets for the generals, or do you use it on the 4 grunts coming at you?

you also had to act like a team, covering each others back or collectivly lose a life, it sucked that people would AFC because they were lazy and just wanted some cheep points, i would just avoid player for game behaver.

I would really like it if they brought FF limited back, but im sure were all know thats not going to happen, its been abandoned and in a way, so have we.

now all i play is score attack, the games are just too short and not enough enemy spawn per round.

Sigh I wish 343 saw this.

Yes. They are doing a good job at making the game 100% casual.

> Yes. They are doing a good job at making the game 100% casual.

Lol. So you like FF limited right?

i would love this playlist to come back if the AFKers weren’t such a damn issue or MM warriors who run out into the open thinking they can rape anything that moves only to do nothing but die and die.

i see so many people on here wanting this to come back but how many of these people played it when it had its own playlist? the population was about 60 to 80

FF Limited is all I play to this day (at least when chasing FF challenges). I do it in Doubles with either people I know or by tricking the random partner (vote none of the above, then FF Limited at the last second)

If anybody still plays Limited and needs someone to play with them shoot me a Friend Request.

Yeah, I’m with you. Firefight is no longer a challenge in matchmaking. I miss ODST FF, which was all about teamwork. There should be a playlist in Reach matchmaking, with FF limited only by number of lives, not time or number of waves/sets. Reach FF has a lot thinks that are a lot worse than ODST (like no drone waves, or no maps which are at least as good as in ODST), but biggest problem is that, it’s not FF anymore. Of course you can create any game type in custom, but matchmaking is here to help players to find other ppl to play, and it should have basic gametypes. In FF playlist, basic gametype is missing, and that is not good.
Destroying grunt with unlimited sniper rifle or rockets is fun, but still it should be a bonus, not main -Yoink!- playlist. It’s a shame that if you want to play good FF, you still have to play ODST with friends. I still hope that FF Limited is coming back, and every damn AFK -Yoink- will burn in hell.

Imagine my dismay after a year out of the loop, I came back and the whole demographic in matchmaking went to hell, I don’t get it, there’s no team work on any playlist I’ve dabbled in so far, I would give my left nut to see FF limited make a come back, as it would force all of thes dumb -Yoink- morons that just blast away with unlimited ammo to actually attain a skill set, and reveal who the truly good players are. I remember when this wasn’t a casual game, where being “good” wasn’t determined by point or rank but by how effectively you slaughtered your enemies. Ahhh I feel old.

> there’s no team work on any playlist

Yeah. We can thank party system for that. I miss good old times with game chat and teamwork with random ppl, teams thanking each other for good game, or even some crazy raged loser team which blamed other team for kicking their -Yoinks!-. Good old times…

> Ahhh I feel old.

Yep. You’re not alone buddy

Only for the vehicles

> I miss ODST FF, which was all about teamwork.

Reach isn’t about teamwork, it’s about being a -Yoink!-. I stopped arcade firefight because of lag and the -Yoink- holes around me. Challenges, daily, the odd weekly, and customs I do in score attack. It’s dull, there is next to no challenge, it’s just the easy way to get CC’s done and avoid vehicle betraying. Next time I play installation 04 in 4 person arcade I’m either going to drive the hog at start, or blow it up to prevent hit and runs. The only point I have to play firefight arcade now is because score attack is only 1 round and I’m 53 away from silver perfectionist. That and my assists are nearing onyx.

I didn’t get many chances to play limited. When I got my first hero medal and felt the rush of being the last man standing which enabled my team to get back into the fight, it was infinitly better than the first killionaire I got with the jet pack and fuel rod cannon. That was against grunts on holdout. When I got the hero medal it was outpost and I was dancing with a concussion rifle elite general draining him with grenade launcher ammo. I was a newb then, if I were to try it again, if 4 person was again an option I’d utilize a plasma weapon like a plasma pistol or rifle to drain his shields, then headshot or grenade for the kill.

I don’t miss FF Limited…I miss ODST FF. ODSTs firefight was amazing, and put emphasis on actual survival (limited ammo, no shields, etc) FF Limited is a bad replacement for it, and can also get to be laggy when trying to land headshots. Arcade is a joke and kinda pointless…but fun once a month.

I think if i played with 4 people who knew what they where doing then i would play it all the time but the people who i come across who do play this dont even last for more then 2 or 3 waves and it basically puts me off from playing it
