Hopped on Halo, right? Started up Halo 3, and find that I can’t aim. Halo Reach, same thing. Infinite is better, but still can’t aim.
Is there a solution to this?
I can only think of some possible causes being: Not enough sleep, different TV (in my case), or just can’t aim.
It’s called getting old my friend.
Already?
I think it was just an off day. I ended up just doing some “silly” gamemodes after doing Apex Legend’s Firing Range then some Training mode with bots. Still wasn’t hitting targets as well as I wanted, but it wasn’t bad.
Ah, a new club member. Welcome!
So old, we can barely hit the side of a barn club.
Infinite’s handicap not exactly helping matters either.
You tend to get off days where you just suck. Happens often to me in Infinite.
Drugs are bad…mmmmmk?
If your serious it’s a long road but if your older like me (54)
It’s a combo of settings (mine all slow)
Distance from screen
FOV
and practice, lots of practice
Change your play style, pick your fights no when to run
Build your confidence up
Practice beats skill if skill doesn’t practice
I also am playing on a different aspect ratio than the day before. It could also be possible that I’m just noticing that my aim sucks.
probably this. 1 TV might have a slower refresh rate, lower fps, or lower resolution. Could also be internet is slower where your other tv is.
I play on a 27in monitor.
That’s what I’m thinking, could also be different controller things since the one I used the day I couldn’t aim has had a lot more wear than the day before’s controller.
Take a break, eat some food, then come back and do some target practice in training mode. Maybe load up some bots on a high difficulty and practice getting headshots (custom swat or snipers). Then jump into multiplayer.
If that doesn’t work, I’m sorry but welcome to the club of being old and bad at games now ![]()
To quote Zanny, “You ever just shoot all around someone?”
check out Ron Rambo Kim’s video on youtube, “How to AIM (FPS Mechanics)”. He addresses several issues that can make aiming feel weirdly off sometimes even after you’ve changed no settings.
I’ll take a look, thanks.
My usually declines when I run out of adderall.
Don’t think that’s the case for me…
First it Giveth by Queens of the Stone Age might help you cope.

I’ve listened to it before, personally I’ve liked “Mind Eraser, No Chaser” by the Super group the lead singer (his name escapes me, I want to say Josh Holmes), even if it doesn’t quite fit the “I can’t do it now for some reason” vibes.
