Does anyone else choke a lot when using mythics?

why tf did I post this -Yoink- lmao

No but I’m scared to get killed before I use it for a decent amount of time

A mythic gun doesn’t make an average player invincible. But a smart player who knows what situations a mythic gun excels in, is invincible.

I realize this and usually I would do well with a mythic weapon, but the pressure of knowing you only have one left or something usually leads to stupid plays, at least in my experience.

The only mythic I’ve ever gotten to use on a regular basis is Oathsworn, and since I use advanced radar and don’t appear on radar, I always go on frenzies or rampages with it lol

I’m with you on this. It happens to me all the time. I got kinda sick of warzone because every time I died with a good req I got mad.
But we will just have to call more and more mythic reqs so that we will get used to it I guess.

Whenever I use one I’m just scared that the second I leave the armory I’ll get killed. Mythic stress me out too much.

Don’t overthink the weapon. Use it somewhat like normal and the gameplay will come

I rarely choke in any situation because my parents taught me how to chew.

But seriously I don’t choke often when I get a power weapon because I’ve learned to not get nervous. I used to mess it up all the time in older games because I cared too much. I find simply not giving a hoot to be the best anti-choke medicine.

Choke no, fear ill die before using it once Yes

Never used one and I have them all except Prophet’s Bane. I get annoyed when I lose any Req, I can’t imagine how pissed off I’d be losing a Mythic!

I rarely used any Reqs for the longest time because of this. The game started getting a bit stale recently so I decided to start using them and I’m doing so much better now. It still pisses me off but when I finally stop playing Halo 5 I don’t want a stockpile of unspent Reqs.

My Mythics will get used soon enough but only against people I’m dominating.

I dunno if it’s just the whole “Oh -Yoink-, this thing is rare af, I should probably be careful” mentality, but I kept choking in every single scenario. Literally used 4 CE magnums to get 10 kills :frowning:

I either play too safe and get few kills or play to reckless and get killed with zero kills. haha. Most maps I won’t use any REQs.

Just have fun with it dude. It’s not the end of the world if you die with it.

Yeah, I realize that. When I’m not going for gameplay it’s easy to rack up multikills and sprees, it’s just the nerves I guess.

By the time your req level is high enough to use the mythic stuff, your opponents’ req level is also high enough to pull out some pretty powerful stuff. Just because of how the req system works, you’re almost always pulling out those mythic things during the toughest battlefield situation of the game. That doesn’t help.

Can someone explain to me what Mythic weapon is? Is it basically any of the legendary weapons? It’s a dumb question, but I seriously don’t even know. I thought the mythic weapons were the one-time use weapons you’d get from random packs.

I don’t have any mythic certifications yet, so I can’t use them often. I only have one Nornfang which dropped out of a daily win pack.
But I picked up a Prophets Bane which a player dropped on March on Stormbreak once, went back to the armory, grabbed an overshield and went straight inside a enemy base.
I made an overkill and would’ve gotten an killtactular if there wasn’t an enemy with the Blaze of Glory. But damn, it felt good to stab around with the Sword!

Depends on the mythic! It’s pretty hard to choke with a nornfang imo

You shouldn’t have put on an over shield, it takes away the advantage of the active camo. What you should have done is thrown on advanced sensors and just walked. Unlimited camo, and never on radar… let the rampage begin!
