Does anyone actually use the REQ powerups?

I can see their uses, but in warzone I’d rather just call in a ghost or power weapon for the same amount of points. Tell me your thoughts and uses, if you have them.

My most often used ones are:

Active Camo, for infiltrating a armoury/Home base.

Overshield, defending a armoury/Home base.

The other power ups don’t seem as useful.

i sell all mine dont find em useful since im always in firefight…over shield is shredded in 3 seconds cloaking only works if ur standing still doing nothing damage boost is useless compare to power weapons and all i have to say about speed boost is whoop de doo…

I dont usem them.

I use active camo quit often. Especially towards the then of matches when I can stack a power weapon with it. I use over shield in fire fight sometimes.

If you have an energy sword, upgraded thrusters, and stack 4 speed boosts then when you slide you can traverse the entire map in about a second. Not the most effective thing to do (obviously) but it’s fun as hell being able to catch up to and pass a full boosting Temple Ghost, and if you slide past enemy vehicles you can board them before they even process that the speeding purple blur is an enemy.

Now I want to try that in forge or custom games with the player speed turned up

I use Active Camouflage for taking care of larger enemy vehicles, Speed Boosts for getting places, and Overshields in Mythic Firefight because it recharges my shields without me having to go punch things.

You’d be dumb not to use them.

Overshields and camos offer a great way to one-up players while capturing a base solo or with a small party of allies. Paired with a sword or other close-range item and the enemy team may as well kiss their base goodbye if they don’t act fast enough. They also allow you to get behind the enemy lines during boss fights and take out players, or kill the boss with an assassination if possible. Camo paired with EMP items, or even without, is also great for sneaking behind powerful vehicles used by the enemy to take them out.

Speed boosts offers a lot of fun when stacked and paired with a sword. If you find yourself with level eight or even nine REQs, buy a basic sword and then wait for the three REQs to recharge then buy three speed boosts.

Really the only one that isn’t all that great outside of a few uses is damage boost. If you wanted, you could pair it with the Arrow of Time for a poor man’s Nornfang though. If you want to use it outside of that, I recommended buying an overshield with it.

Agree for the most part, except for the speed boost. The only thing that does is speed your death.

You’ve clearly never outran a ghost while it’s boosting.

Camo and OS I use quite a bit. They can be extremely useful in the right situation. I’m not a fan of speed boost or damage boot, but I see them both quite often.

Don’t get me wrong, a spartan with a speed boost may get me one time, but usually not. I do use them when the enemy is capturing a base with a ghost. I am on that ghost pretty quickly.

I use mine a lot. Speed boosts at the beginning to get to places before the enemy or to rush their base. Camos work well with close range weapons or for boarding vehicles. Overshields are good with answers and other powerful weapons. Damage boost works really well with everything

4x medium speed boosts with the speed booster mod. Its not that is even an effective tactic, its just extremely fun to run circle around the map at 250 mph

I use over shield for melee weapons so I can get at least one kill with them outside of a base and I use active camo for my bootleg prophet’s bane.

Speed boosts mostly

Absolutely I do. I use overshield for attacking/defending bases. Camo has multiple uses (attack/defend bases sneakily) or antagonize the enemy outside their bases. Speed boost to get around the map quickly especially if I’m low on req energy and need to make it to a base to attack/defend. Damage boost for when I’m in a power position keeping the enemy team contained.

I’ll use camo’s pretty often actually

same. speed boost can be used in good ways. ( it’s really good for the beginning of a match) but the damage boost just sucks.
