Does anyone actually pay attention in multiplayer?

Seriously, most matches I’ve played (or joined half way through) no one seems to pay attention to the objective. Oh look, our armory is being captured? better grab half the team and go kill the boss that is only worth 25 points. Flag is stolen? better go kill the guys that are nowhere near the flag carrier. Getting shot? to bad, still want to screw up my teammate’s sniper shots and get us both killed.

Addendum: Then there is this guy, this one guy. why keep betraying for the sniper, you watched me put down 8 guys with 8 rounds.

But the sky is pretty.

It’s also helpful to play in a group of like-minded individuals. They are frequently better at communicating and reacting appropriately.

My pet peeve, is when we are about to lose the last armory, which will open our base, and there are a bunch of spartans from my team shooting at the armory from the outside without trying to go in. I charge, as we have to make a stand, but no one follows. During the 6 seconds it takes me to respawn, of course, the armory gets captured, and we are relegated to the base.

Thats not a bad tactic as far as shooting or spawn killing people after your team pulls flag. If your whole team sets their attention to watching the flag guy you are just setting yourself up for a counter cap.
If the other team only focusing on your flag carrier its easier for your teammates to kill them leaving them with less people to try to stop the cap. Even if the flag carrier dies if your teammates take out one or two and stop the return it works out.

But on a map like antifreeze there is not much merit on killing someone when the flag carrier goes through a tunnel or where there is no line of site for them.

oh idk i rarely play BTB normally i do 4v4 arena games.

If I want to look at the sky of Torque, I’ll just start a custom game for the sole purpose of taking pictures…

And I feel your pain OP… It’s all KDA and whatnot nowadays… that’s why my KDA is so low compared to others, because I go for the objective rather than the kill, XP or commendations…

As a casual I’m disappointed by your poor spelling, I’m capable of constructing my arguments in the Queen’s English.

You know, I’ve often asked myself the same thing. Is everyone else dumb, or am I the freakin’ reincarnation of General Patton?

But, there is a giant fish thingy swimming around fathom. Do you know the stars twinkle? You ever follow around those bug thingies on regret? I love how the light reflects off of the water on the maps, like overgrowth. There are some cool details on plaza. You ever count your steps from home base to the armory?

Obviously there are much more important things in the game than this “objective” thingy you are so concerned about.

We officially need a 343 RPG so that people can take photos of all the gorgeous landscapes rather than complete objectives…

Did you know you can kill those bugs on Regret? I was in a match where three of our opponents quit and left one to fend for himself. He stuck it out (LIKE A TROOPER) so I decided to just hang back and not chase him down. I think I killed about forty of those bugs instead.
