Does anybody think the gravemind come in halo 6

Do you guys think the Gravemind is alive and will come back in Halo Infinite? It would be cool if he survived the ark’s destruction and came back to get his revenge on Master Chief and Arbiter.

You must have not played or read about Halo Wars 2: Awaken the Nightmare. The Gravemind was destroyed on the Ark, but some of the Flood survived (I hate that) and managed to reform a Proto-Gravemind in the 6 years between Halo 3 and Halo Wars 2. The Banished accidentally release the Flood and then fight to put it back in containment. They successfully destroy the Proto-Gravemind.

If the Gravemind returns in Halo Infinite, it probably wouldn’t be from the Ark (unless they write off the Banished in between games), so then it would have to be from a new source of Flood outbreak, either on an Installation we don’t know about or from outside the galaxy (both scenarios being a deus ex machina, having the Flood appear out of nowhere).

That’s the one thing (or rather two things) that I’m missing from the Halo Lore. The Halo Wars games. I just can’t play that style of game. My multitasking skills just stink! I would love to be able to play both of the Halo Wars games and learn those events.

I’m not putting up the Gravemind returning as a major possibility. They already have the Created to work with and I would think that after tossing away years of other stories and characters for the Created and doing -Yoink- all with them over nearly three years, Infinite is going to have to make their inclusion actually matter. Tossing in the Flood, I feel, would just makes things way to messy, especially if Infinite is meant to be a game anybody can get into.
