Does anybody like Spartan Ops?

I don’t. I would’ve much rather have seen a new kind of firefight. The story is bland and boring and all the gameplay really is is just kill enemies go to objective kill enemies go to objective you’re done. But in firefight it’s more of a survival thing. I had so much fun trying to get ODST’s firefight achievements with my friend. And in Reach it was a great way to earn credits and have a good time too. It’s just nice to have something where if you don’t wanna play in matchmaking or campaign and you have some free time to play firefight.

i think i played it like 2 or 3 times.

it was really boring, i deleted the entire thing off my hard drive a while ago

I would rather have had Firefight as well. With the introduction of Prometheans it would have made FF so much more enjoyable. Whether it be the time they worked with the new Covenant or against them, it still would have been interesting. As well as the map designs, where Reach had fell on.

ODST, yeah fun.
Reach, your argument is that it was a great way to get credits? Spartan ops is also a good way to get XP.
I didn’t like firefight reach more than ODST. It wasn’t really about survival, not too much about creativity.

I do like spartan ops. I was playing it earlier and trying not to die. I was trying to find ways to not die and formulate plans on how to do the mission in my head. I find spartan ops to be fun.

I always wanted Firefight to stay in Halo, it really was unique and great with friends. Not to mention the customization in Reach was a great step in direction for the future of Firefight, but 343 shot that future down.

One thing I always wanted was bosses after a Set or two, like a Scarab, or Locusts, or a Lich, or even those super Hunters from Legends.

I like Spartan Ops because its challenging and you can play it with your fiends. Plus, you can rank up quickly on it and earn easy commendations. I myself am currently playing it for the Vangaurd armor.

EDIT: Still not as fun as Firefight.

I enjoyed Spartan Ops. The episodic advancement into the lore was great imo.

I would have liked FF to have returned as well, as sitting back tearing through waves of Covies and Prometheans would have been nice.

If Season 2 comes into fruition, it needs more options, and less redundancy, though.

A lot of the episodes were a hit or miss. They’re fun if you play with your friends, and the story behind Spartan Ops was pretty good. In my opinion, Spartan Ops is better than Reach’s firefight but I’d much rather have ODST’s firefight over the others.

I think Spartan Ops would have been infinitely better with a scoring mechanic.

I’m hoping there is a Season 2 before Halo 5 is out because I need a reason to motivate me to come back and finish the forerunner commendations

But there were lives and if you lost all of them no achievement for you. In SP ops the credits are basically handed to you. No challenge at all, and if you keep on playing you’ll be SR 130 in no time.

I didn’t like it. Wasn’t really motivated to even finish season 1.

I enjoyed it most of the time. I had a lot of fun and also frustration getting at least one flawless game on every mission. Story was good but no matter what nothing can beat ODST firefight. Reach’s was lame.

First half wasn’t very good; mainly “go here, kill this, push a few buttons, walk 10 meters and kill this, then push another button that activates this button that you need to push but you have to kill this before you can push the button and end the level”. Second half was a little bit better, because it had a bit of a decent story behind it, but pretty much the same play style. Which gets very repetitive and boring fast, with no challenge.

I think that thet should add fire fight on spartin op maps then it would satisfy the people who enjoy the halo story moving forward and firefight people. and you got to choose to play spartin ops or firefight but firefight has nothing to do with cannon

They should add flood firefight. I don’t care if people are going to say it’s a copy of CoD zombies because flood came before that.

No, not at all.

He’s referring to Arcade Fight, which most played. That had unlimited lives. Only FF Limited had limited lives.

I’m confused so u find a relaxed layed back mode with dialogue and a ongoing story WORSE than a relaxed layed back mode with nothing? I don’t get it…

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again.

Spartan Ops cries me to sleep.
Firefight (Reach) lulls me to sleep.

Best they can do is update ODST IMHO.

Or introduce mini-boss/boss fights to Spartan Ops (they botched it of course by giving us Generals with fuel rods but imagine if they had been dual wielding swords with new animations and fighting style)
