Does anyone know how to play halo 2 on Xbox 360
I have the disc and every time I put it in the Xbox it won’t work

I Own The Original HALO 2 For The Original Xbox And I Played It On My 360 And It Runs Fine But I Don’t Know Why Yours Won’t Work But Probably Make Sure Ur Disc Is Clean

Are you sure you have all updates for your Xbox 360? Halo 2 has been added to the backwards compatibility list later on and not from the start. So maybe it’s a software issue. Perhaps you could contact Xbox support for it.

To play Halo 2 on your Xbox 360 you need to have a Hardrive installed on it.

I have the hard drive but it says that the game couldn’t download I check in with Microsoft to see what up they said they be fixing it soon but still noting it was like 6 months ago

I had that problem, it kept on telling me I needed a hard drive, so I got one, and Halo 2 work perfectly on my 360.

Xbox Original Games will only work if you have an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive
If you have a 3rd party hard drive like me there is a fix or a 4GB Console
If you have an Xbox 360 Slim:

  1. Turn off the console
  2. Locate the bottom portrait air vent
  3. Open the flap
  4. Remove Hard Drive
  5. Turn on console
  6. Put disc in
  7. Restart
  8. You will now have 1 Second to choose the update to enable backwards compatibility before it will display an error telling you to enter a hard drive
  9. Let the update run
  10. Once completed you can now put hard drive back in

Yeah usual issue is a hard drive, my girlfriend didn’t have one so we couldn’t play Mortal Kombat Deception

You need a hard drive and it should work just fine. The only way to do multiplayer though is via system link

Halo 2 does have backwards compatibility. You should be able to install an update for it to work.

It is 2017 and i bought the game halo 2 and i have a xbox 360 slim console with a 320 gb harddrive and i did what RuneReaper177 suggested to do and still nothing happens just every time i put the disc in it says : “game error , the game could not start. Try downloading the game again …”
Please i am begging if someone can assist me otherwise i will feel being ripp off or very disappointed! !!!
