I made a post about this earlier, but that quickly became outdated as I read the steam news report on it. It says Xbox players will have Splitscreen while PC will have LAN play. Why? Why don’t both versions have both forms of multiplayer? Personally, I only have one computer powerful enough to play Halo Infinite, so this basically means I’m not gonna be able to play the game with my family without external mods or programs like Nucleus Co-Op, and using those means I won’t be able to play the game with my friend who lives in Poland and my Dad who lives on the couch next to me at the same time.
I feel like I should have known this would happen, considering MCC doesn’t have it either (which is also [REDACTED] I might add) which just makes me wonder why? Why does it feel like whenever there’s a port of a game that has split-screen on consoles, it gets removed from the PC version. My only guesses are that they’re expecting PC players to have LAN parties or that they just think PC players don’t have any irl friends and family. As someone who can’t do a LAN party with my family and does have irl friends and family that seems pretty [REDACTED].
I’m sorry if this came off as kinda mean, I just get very heated about things like this. If anyone knows why this is please let me know because this has caused me far too much anger. I should probably not care this much but a lot of my best gaming memories are playing split-screen games with my friends and family, and I wanted Halo Infinite to be the easiest way to play Halo with them, because we all enjoy playing it, but we have to use things like Nucleus Co-Op which makes it take forever to set up, and oftentimes doesn’t work. I was really hoping Halo Infinite would break that major inconvenience and would let me be able to just plug in a few more controllers and start playing with them, but instead I got disappointed yet again.
