I’m just curious as to what this forum thinks!
It really isn’t about them deserving to make another one, they are and will as long as Microsoft wants them too.
But the real question is do YOU, the community, deserve another Halo after the storm thats been going down lately.
> It really isn’t about them deserving to make another one, they are and will as long as Microsoft wants them too.
I’m betting they will make somewhere between 3-45 more halo games.
But I’m asking do you think they deserve to after seeing the first game of their next trilogy.
I’m just trying so damn hard to not be dissapointed in them, but if they continue with their current attitude then ill be done with them for good.
The real Halo died when Bungie left. Now MS is just handing a random team a noobs an unlimited budget to milk the only exclusive franchise they still have.
I don’t think 343 cares about halo or their customers. They definately should not make another halo, and this game shouldn’t be called halo. Actually they should not make any more games, ever. All they had to do was immitate h2-3 gameplay with some better graphics and a few new maps, instead they f’d it up with dmr/boltshot, aa, specializations and ordinace drops. WHY? Then they haven’t fixed any problems with the gameplay or the playlist yet they have released dlc, lol. There’s a reason this game is $40 new.

That is such a ridiculous argument. So there has been a lot of complaining about the game…that is NOTHING new for Halo. At all.
Sure, if they learn from their mistakes of course and give us a Halo that follows more to the classic formula. They could could also give us a slew of improvements that don’t feel so gimmicky or overused in other shooters such as CoD.
I’m hoping for a Halo 5 by a developer with experience in Halo and understands what this community wants.

Lol it isn’t the communities responsiblity for the companies mistakes. If the community is raging about a faulty product then it is the companies responsiblity to fix that mistake, not turn their backs on the only game franchise they will likely ever be allowed to produce games for because the community was being mean.
I am okay with how the game is but okay isn’t good enough when we are talking about a Halo game.
The Halo universe deserves better then that.
Anyways, 343i has a great opportunity following the events of H4 and the new hardware the Xbox720 gives to developers.
I’m in the middle.
I think they did a great job, but at the same time I feel there is more they could have done to make it even better.
Passing on a franchise on to another developer is NEVER a good idea. F.E.A.R. has gone to -Yoink-, and I’m dreading what the new Bioware team make of the next Mass Effect seeing as the ME3 MP is dreadful as was the Omega DLC
343 are out of their depth
They’re going to make another one, Microsoft wants them to, they will. They’ve already signed deals regarding the Halo series we now know to be up to Halo 6. IMO they should turn in their key cards, march out the door, and not return to touch a Halo game again…except for the music, as always absolutely amazing! But yeah no…please leave your work stations! LEAVE YOUR WORK STATIONS!
halo was dead the second bungie released halo reach!
introducing armor abilities yeahhh!!! real smart there!
and of course 343 has been slacking with the game so far, if you wanna hear my opinion i say yes they should continue making halo games, they introduced a great story line in the campaign. i don’t like the way their running the multiplayer, but i honestly believe this game is just a scooby snack, halo 5 and 6 are going to be so much better and i bet they will be more balanced.
^ I loved Halo Reach.

Do keep in mind that the community does tend to rage pointlessly about some things. The DMR/BS nerf fad was getting a bit out of hand when it wasn’t that much of an issue. There is no such thing as a perfect game, so there will always be complaints for any release, no matter how close to perfect it gets. I have complaints against Halo 4, but I’m not looking at them through a microscope.
Anyway, I do think 343i does deserve to make the next Halo. They could have done better with Halo 4, but for being the first release of a huge franchise handed down to them, and with the huge potential of the next Halo on the Xbox 720, I think all they can go from here is uphill.
And I loved the campaign. Just make it a teeny bit longer.
The Game is fine. don’t turn this into another Mass Effect 3.
Of course. I would feel shortchanged if I didn’t know what is going to go down story-wise in Halo 5 and 6.
Never before has another studio taken over development of a beloved franchise and had the success 343 has had with Halo thus far. They SHOULD have failed. But they didn’t and they haven’t yet.
Do not expect such success if another studio were to take over development of the franchise whole. Lighting so very rarely strikes twice in the same place.

Not when they left but when they decided to make it more like some other games.
“But the real question is do YOU, the community, deserve another Halo after the storm thats been going down lately”.
Lol.
Wouldn’t even have this kind of response were it not for the atrocious handling Halo 4 has received [been subjected to].
Even without that, the game is poor, particularly for how good it could and should have been. It is just clumsily put together.
