Henry Glassman, Catherine Elizabeth Halsey, and Ellen Anders. All in Halo 5… Henry, Ellen and Catherine are all alive… and so they could use their technical advantages to create more Infinity-class warships…

That would really hinge on whether or not Anders is ever recovered from the Spirit of Fire or the ship is found and if Halsey, recently the target of an assassination, wants to help the UNSC and/or is saved from the Covenant who currently have her. Glassman is just an incompetent -Yoink!-.

Besides, it took 20 years to build the Infinity and though they may have the process down, it will take a long time to build more of them when you could just as easily build an entire fleet of lesser ships that get the job done.

To be fair, they along with all the other scientists need some time to catch up on Forerunner tech and integrating it into our own. On that note, the Huragok are our main asset atm in this regard.

Also, Halsey isn’t exactly going to be in the best mood to help the UNSC in any way shape or form unless some other common enemy comes along, and even then she’ll be playing multiple games of chess at once to get her revenge.

Tbh, I think all of the UNSC’s & ONI’s resources should be aimed at attaining the other half of the Janus key. Instant access to ALL Forerunner tech in the Galaxy, which may well be all fully serviceable or near enough. If not, again, the Huragok come in handy.

But yes, I’d prefer the Infinity to become a class of ship, rather than just the sole flagship.
