Didact the only Forerunner we saw in games,except for Librarian(don’t know if she’s alive)should return imo.What do you think guys?
It would be really cool to see a DLC in infinite where you defeat him once and for all.

Maybe Didact can come back through the Domain somehow?It saved Cortana.

Oh for sure but it would be in a Promethean type body.
But I doubt he will come back. I suspect the villain in infinite will be a Precursor.

Yeah im sure 343 planned the whole trilogy around Didact at first,then they replaced him with Warden Eternal in 5.

Honestly, it’s going to be Precursor the Villain it’s obvious.
Im open to the idea as long as it makes sense. I want Infinite to be a refreshing addition to the Halo franchise after the bad taste that the Halo 5 campaign left with most players.
They completely killed the didact off in a book that came out after halo 4!!! A book!! This is what i hate about 343 all there marketing crap that they expect everyone to have to look into so they will know whats going on in the games cause they miss so much out like halo 5 all of a sudden blue team are there and with master chief as if they were always arpund no explanation to who they are where they have been how they are now with master chief… just had people thinking where were these through halo CE, halo 2, halo 3 and halo 4… you would know but only if you read the books they release between there games! I dont want to have to jump between books, audio clips and games to know wahts going on in the games campaign just stop bing greedy and lazy and put it all in the game bot everyone is aware of the books and all the other marketing they have out there

It sucks, but they messed up the forerunner story so bad that they will have to do that.
I would love if he was somehow connected to this Harbinger entity.
They both should be in game and get much better exposition.

Yeah he got killed off in the books because of how much hate he got from the vocal minority in the community who flooded the forums and post after post about how he was “a horrible addition and ruined the legacy of how Bungie treated the forerunners”. Only for those same people to turn around and complain when 343 killed him off because by the measure of the vocalized reaction, he was unwanted in the franchise. Jul M’Dama got the same treatment but because of the backlash of the Didact killing, they chose to at least kill him in Halo 5…only for those same people to complain that he got killed in Halo 5…imagine that

The harbinger is supposed to be a precursor. That’s the theory I am reading anyway. Obviously, theories can be wrong but it would make sense. Say for example if it’s the primordial one.

Oh? I hadn’t heard anything like that, but then again I haven’t been keeping an eye out for such details. That would be interesting, but I would hope we still focus on the Forerunner for a bit bc I think brining the Precursors in in a big way would be escalating too fast. Not saying I’d be disappointed if that theory is correct though.
