Do you want the Bubble Shield to return?

Gotcha. The cindershot doesn’t have the properties to bounce through targets, so that leaves the Sentinel Beam and Heatwave… not sure how it would play out but the idea is giving players a way to counter the bubble shield.

Considering the bubbleshield would still protect you from most of the Sandbox I’d say it still does it’s job quite well. The only downside I see is players with hardlight weapons could hide inside the bubble shield and deal ranged damage from within the shield.

I would say simply no to this idea.

The way to counter the Bubble Shield is to contest it. It doesn’t belong to it’s deployer, the whole point of the Bubble Shield just like the regen is that it’s a neutral piece of equipment you fight over. Not something you try to counter.

Again, defeats the whole purpose of it.

I agree, solid reasoning.

 I like that too. Just blast someone off the map bubble and all

My favourite use for the bubble shield was to use it to steal flags and drop it to get past lines of sight!

Another thing about the Bubble shield is its interaction with other equipment. It’s also affected by player physics so Grenades that do not kill the equipment actually send it flying, as well as grav lifts which is shown in that one infamous Mint Blitz clip where he caught a dude taunting in a Bubble Shield.

Now compare that to Drop Shield which just becomes a static area denial field with a short duration and can’t be interacted with, or the Dropwall which refuses to interact with anything and any sort of damage to the base and it just collapses.

Bubble Shield is so much more superior as an equipment.

This is an excellent point. The drop shield is a great resource.

I rather feel like the skill gap to use the drop wall is too high. Telling people to sue it around corners when they suspect it to be a barricade is too much to ask for casual play.

I feel like the dropwall should just be slightly bigger, last longer and non-passable. The strength of the shield should still be the same, but having it non-passable can act as a barricade against vehicles where if they hit is like hitting a wall. They should also had a soft beeping that triggers when its about the shield is about to drop so players would know when to move out of it.

That would be a better casual, fun and skill based Drop shield than copy and pasting a bubble wall that forces players to do something like walking in.

More options? Why not?

It should return with all others equipments, because if not, developers have to explain why those equipments don’t exist anymore ando so why brutes don’t have it anymore

I would like it back, but maybe in grenade form and in a much smaller sphere (Think the device MC uses in the Halo 3 Trailer). I like the drop wall, but its relatively weak beyond blocking a power weapon shot, but against auto weapons, it is paper thin.

I would love to see the bubble shield come back, but not in its original form. Perhaps a bubble shield that acts somewhat like the drop-wall in which certain hexagons can break due to damage, etc

Imagine thinking forcing players to react to something in a SANDBOX is bad. No, I don’t object to the idea of making the drop shield better but the Bubble Shield should return, AS IS.

I’ve already explained why in previous posts.

Yes there should be an option for that in the poll

The Bubble Shield should not return based off of this argument.

I want the bubble shield to replace the drop wall. The drop wall is just a handicap. The bubble shield at least changed the approach to attacking an enemy within and the approach to defending if you’re the one inside.

It’s an interesting take on a smoke screen I suppose, if that’s the speculation. I’m just happy there is finally some new content coming.

I was wondering about a smoke screen type of equipment and how it could work and I got thinking about old equipment such as the Jammer from Halo 3.

I was thinking it would be interesting to combine the two somehow. I was picturing a variant of the Reach Grenade Launcher, you would fire the ‘grenade’ and while holding the trigger it would act as a Jammer, then upon release it would deploy a smoke screen.

I wonder if there is anything more to the shroud equipment above.

I need look at it again, but I thought it was both a smokescreen and a shield. Pretty neat reimagining of a smokescreen though. Like digital fog that scrambles sensors or something.
