Would you like the BR to return as the main weapon or would you like a new weapon to replace it?

IDK, I liked it’s mechanic…

I don’t like the DMR though…

Not really. Anyone can use a burst fire weapon. I’m not a big fan of the DMR (long kill times, bloom that rewards spam, etc…), but I would much rather have a single shot weapon, like the Halo 1 pistol.

Cross between the CE pistol and the BR= win.

DMR with no Bloom, a fixed rate of fire, and no ability to damage vehicles will be better than the return of the BR.

If the BR was replaced in Halo 4, then it would make no sense whatsoever! The BR was an awsome gun plus if the game is taking off Halo 3, then it must have the BR. ODST for example was between Halo 2 and 3. It had no BR, and for some reason it made the game no fun at all in my eyes.

I prefer the DMR for multiple reason:

  • The DMR carries enough ammo to shoot a total of 75 times whereas the BR only carries enough ammo for 48 shots due to its 3-round burst. And even though you need five shots to kill with the DMR instead of only four with the BR, you’re still better off ammo-wise.

  • A single-shot weapon like the DMR is way more fun in SWAT games.

  • You wouldn’t have to cope with spread again like in H3 in case the devs think that bringing back spread for a burst-firing weapon is a good idea.

  • I simply like the DMR’s look and sound better than that of the BR.

According to that logic, there shouldn’t be any new UNSC weapons at all in H4.

Also, ODST was fun because there was no BR. You either had to scavange for carbines, or use plasma weapons and/or grenades to lower the Brutes’ shields, and then headshot them with the magnum.

I like the battle rifles look and love it so i wouldnt mind if it came back

If they made the game a bit like halo2/CE and made everyone start with sprint I’d probably enjoy halo 4. Just treat the other AAs as power weapons and bring the overshield back.

That. As long as the Pistol can be a major contender again along with fast kill times (CE/H2-esque), I’m happy.

If the DMR had a bullet spread instead of Bloom I would love it compared to the BR.

Give us a 4SK CE pistol with recoil, now that would be awesome and all the whiners couldnt call it OP.

I miss the BR. I’d like it back, it was just such a satisfying weapon.

  2. There is no random spread.

Seriously, try playing a game on Halo 3 while experiencing latency. It’s like torturing yourself with a butter knife.

The BR was amazing , I find the DMR to be a crappy sniper rifle. The 3 burst shot made it unique.

My whole Halo 3 career was on yellow bar and below. I managed to get a 40, and my friend got a 45. You just need double the skill you’d normally need :stuck_out_tongue:
